Does anyone still think smoking is sexy?

I've several threads today that seem to either feature cigarrettes, or show someone smoking in what is an attempt to be sexy. I just don't get that. But then, I'm a ardent non-smoker. Can't stand being around it.

Are you a sexy smoker? Or a "get that shit away from me" type person?

You talking about me? I don't feel the way I do when I get paranoid, so I may be right. After all I am smoking in my av.

It's not exactly an attempt to be sexy, the picture came out by fluke just happening to have smoke covering my face, so I thought I'd use it as my av. I was just high taking pictures of all sorts of things.

Smoking has its drawbacks, long journeys are a pain, all the yellowy stains and the stink, but it feels good and eases the nerves (dopamine active). I'll probably give up eventually, except for those post coital moments.

More of the latter. I used to smoke - mostly pipes and cigars - now I am sensitive to second hand smoke. When people smoke around me I don't care for it - it makes me cough. I also don't care to kiss a smoker - it's like licking an ashtray. I don't care to be intimate with smokers due to the smell.

Sorry if that offends some people or puts them off, but it is just the way I feel. Some women don't like men who don't bath regularly because they stink (I agree), and I don't care to be that close to smokers. I also don't like them to smoke in my car or house.

And yes I am very familiar with the smell; my son-in-law smokes, my ex's parents smoke, LC smokes.

I think it's a huge turn-off.

I refuse to kiss a smoker unless they've used a breath mint, or mouthwash, because I can taste it. I'm a non-smoker, so I sure as hell don't want to taste it when I kiss someone.


Smoke itself I can't stand to be around anymore. It makes my eyes water up bad, my throat gets sore, and not to mention, smelling the smoke on my clothes and in my hair.

See now, I wish more smokers would take that attitude. My dad and step mom both smoke, and have a rather small house, so when we go over there, it's just hanging in the air. They go though about 2 packs a day between them.

My MIL is far worse though. She lives in a single wide trailor, refuses to open windows, doors, or use fans at any time of the year, and will honestly smoke 4-5 packs of cigarettes a day.

I have 1 child who is allergic to the smoke, and gets sick for days just visiting there for an hour, and Sherry wonder's why we don't visit ever?!?!?

Read my post... never said it offends me. I just don't find it attractive nor does it make much sense to me. I'd chew tabacco before I smoked. As a "wannabe" athlete I value my lungs way to much to pollute them purposely.
