Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm a bi woman who is in a very committed relationship with a man. He and I have a very honest, open, and loving relationship. During recent discussions about our fantasies and my bi desires, he has given me a long leash to explore that side of me.

I posted a couple of ads on Craig's List, but not surprisingly, the caliber of women who have responded is somewhat lacking. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can look to find an educated, sexy, bi woman to have a relationship with? I looked through the Lit personals, but couldn't find anyone in my area.

When you find one, give her my number. The most promising site I've found is Informed Consent but it's just UK based.

Nobody around here has anything good to say about CraigsList. Maybe try Fetlife or mydungeonspace.com?

How about OKCupid? It's totally free, and the quality seems to be a little higher than other sites, IMO.

Also, are there any women's parties, events, bars/clubs or bi female groups in your general area? At least with meeting in person right off the bat, you don't have to screw around with seeing if there's chemistry and flakes quite as much.

I used OKCupid during my last period of being single, and I wasn't really impressed. Maybe I'll give it another try though

I'll have to look into the parties, or groups. I live in a medium sized town, but it one of the most aesthetically challenged places I have ever been. I had to go outside my state to meet my guy! Not to mention, it's a very conservative town. I'm not sure what is out there if I dig deep, but on the surface, it doesn't seem like that kind of subculture exists.

Hey shadow, I am in the same place. I used Fling to try to meet someone. I met someone, but the chemistry was not there. All the ads seem to be from women trying to please their man's fantasy or from men wanting to "surprise" their partner.
I still have an ad on adultfriendfinder, with dismal results. I have looked into the local "scene" here and it only seems to be geared to swingers, I have had a few promising conversations from my friends from hish school. (I am 36) I am looking for soimeone close to my age, not a young girl getting her "freak on". I am just very frustrated and have sortof given up actively looking, but keeping my eyes open.

Good Luck we are not the only ones, the last one I meet in PM was in canada!

I'm a straight woman but I have had a lot of rich pickings on adultfriendfinder. One of which has grown into a relationship.

Be very wary of doing this if you really love your partner. I grew up in an area with a lot of polygamous and open relationships like the one you describe. They never end well. They tended to not last more than five years after becoming open and end acrimoniously....

Perhaps the open relationships you've seen haven't ended well, but that doesn't mean they're doomed to fail from the start or you've seen any sort of a representative sample.

Most--including open and alternative--relationships fail, period. However, just as there are plenty monogamous relationships that endure, there are plenty of open/alternative relationships that last well past 5, 10, 20+ years. I've seen them; I'm sure you would, too, if you went and talked to polyamorous folks, longtime swingers, etc., with an open mind.
