I have never spoken to anyone here on the phone or in a voice chat so I don' t know what anyone sounds like.

When I read posts by the people that I regulary interact with I give them a voice in my head.

You know like in movie or TV shows when a character reads a letter and they read the letter in the voice of the character who wrote it.

I give differrent people different voices depending on what I know about them.

Lavy sounds like an older version of a girl that lived on my street back in Texas. This girl actually goes to U of T and I have talked to her since she has grown up.

Texan sounds like one of my old neighbors back in Texas.

UncleBill sounds like a Proff I had back when I was still in engineering.

Marxist sounds like a friend of mine from HS.

Angel sounds like a girl I work with.

Myst and Cym sound very similar to me for some reason but I can't place where I got their voices from.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Some of the less regular people I either give stock voices too or my own voice.

No, I'm pretty sure it's just my own voice I'm hearing....Ooh weird thought.

I'm the same way with books, except I usually visualize what's going on.

You've given me the squeaky Minnie Mouse voice haven't you? :D

only the two people from Lit, that I've spoken to on the phone. I can hear their voices reading their posts to me, because I know what they sound like already. No imagination needed.

You have a higher pitched voice then most of the women do but not really high. Slighly higher pitched then Cym or Myst but not like my exgf.

Actually, you might be kinda right. I've talked to Myst on the phone a number of times and i think we do have a resemblence in terms of the pitch and timbre of our voices. We both sound young, that's for sure, her because she is, me because, well, i don't know why but it's not for the same reason she sounds young.
:p

Risia, KM, and Siren have the most interesting voices in the joint.

Risia's is low. It's very husky and extremely sexy-sounding. She has a wonderful laugh. I talk to her a lot though, so the surprise is gone. Risia's voice tingles with "aliveness". I don't know how else to put it.

Muffie sounds fresh and friendly and wonderfully normal. She sounds a lot like the girl next door, the one everyone likes for her sweet voice and matching manners. No - really! Muffie is wonderfully easy to talk to, too, for all she protests that fact. The Studmuffin has a low, deep, easy, smooth voice and he's never tried to hurt me on the phone when i called. Muffie told him he couldn't.

And Siren - whew! What a surprising voice she has! Her voice is as opposite her persona here as it's possible to be. She's lovely and understanding and caring and her voice, like Muffie's is sweet and warm.

These aren't the only Litizen's i've talked to on the phone and i don't mean to disregard anyone. These are just those who have surprised me the most in terms of what they sound like versus what i thought they might sound like given thier online style.

Her cell phone. :p

Dixon sounds like the voice-over guy in every car commercial.

Mensa sounds like one of my professors, only much sexier.

Wierd Harold sounds like my dad.

:)

This thread could get interesting. Blow everyones cover.

Thanks Azwed.

My voice didn't surprise you, cym?

Oh, and you don't sound that young. Sure, I had to supress the urge to ask you for your mommy, but other than that, you sounded very grown up. ;)

Only a few:

Lavender sounds like Eve Arden in "Our Miss Brooks"

Marxist sounds like Flip Wilson (a fellow Jersey Citizen, I might add); "The Devil made me do it."

Blushing Rose sounds like Tammy Faye Baker.

Dixon Carter Lee sounds like Colin Quinn.

Dillinger sounds like God.

The voices of the ones I speak with on a regular basis of course are there as I read their post, you get to know the inflection they put to words and naturally when you read their words you read it as you believe they would speak.

As for the rest I suppose yes I do and most likely I'm wrong on every account.

I've got to say the most intriguing and fun to speak with though for me of all that I have talked to has been Kiwiwolf. When you combine his NZ accent with my pure southern drug me out of the sticks kicking and screaming husky voice it gets funny. We are forever spelling words.

this is odd.

I voted yes, but I never have done this.

Why would I lie like that?

LOL. GG, the first time I spoke to Shane on the phone I understood about 10 percent of what he said. I've never said, "what?" so many times in my life. It got progressively better though. I'd say I'm up to about a 70% comprehension level at this point. :)

I'll say that of the folks to whom I've spoken, only a couple have surprised me by not sounding like what I thought they might.

Georgia Girl has the most sultry, delicious, velvety-bourbon voice. :)

As for the rest, all I have are guesses and they're probably not very good ones.

You couldn't be more off base! Come on Ruby...tell him it ain't so.

I have "heard" thru the grapevine that Lavender and Rose have similar voices...

I have also "heard" that somebody else either sounds like a "little boy...kinda cute" or "very cultured and sophisticated, but with a thick accent" depending on who I talked too....

But then I have also heard that Marxist sounds like a Brooklyn cab driver too...

LOL
:)

Hmmmm.....Tammy Faye. Might not be too far off, come to think of it.

;)

I should be selected to hear all the women's voices here and make an objective opinion on the matter.

Nope, darlin', you sound the way you look: sexy, sophisticated, and sure of yourself. You're polished and your voice mirrors that.

Dill, now, he's got this mangled accent thing going that's just astounding. I mean, one can understand him (unlike Chef) but how the heck did he get bits and pieces of New York and New England and a teensy bit of drawl when he's not being careful all combined like that?

That's quite a description of my voice. But I like it... thanks...

As for you - I'd say you sound you sound just as nice and sweet as your personality here and then some.
