I have a family where one side breeds football players, and the other side breeds soccer players.

After age fifty, the soccer players seem to be in far better shape. The football players could kick their asses in a fight that required no endurance.

Depends on how you define warriors, I think.

I think the role of the foot soldier has changed to the point that soccer would better suit his/her needs. We don't need big ol' brutes doing bayonet charges any more. Today's soldier must have endurance, and intelligence.

I love American football. I only watch soccer during the World Cup.
