Not at all. You can be flattered by words.

I'm probably more flattered when another female says something nice or kind to me.

I know this is going to sound horrible, but for the most part I tend to believe their sincerity when they say something favorable about me.

Probably true. A woman's admiration is easier to believe is given without any ulterior motives attached. Usually.

Unlike a woman's criticism which can also affect me quite deeply but is probably more likely to have an ulterior motive behind it.

I'm the same way really.

I'm not suspicious of compliments from females but I'd be very leery of criticism, unless made by a friend.
