Ellipsis are not chat speak. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you here but they do signify a pause in thought or speech along with omission of obvious words.

How many of you actually write? I mean stories. I don't mean little porn stories to post up here. I mean actual stories that you really pour all your time into.
What is your motivation? Do they come to you or do you have to sit there and think and brainstorm? And what do you write about?

I post my best stories with an alt account. Whats curious is, theyre stories that sold and were published elsewhere but LIT readers ignore them and score them low. LIT readers aren't high quality.

My motivation is to acquire the skills to hook the readers fundamental emotional set: fear, anger, curiosity, joy, despair and make a word picture that draws the reader in.

Ideas I never lack for.

My present challenge is to expose my characters souls, clearly and simply. To do that you gotta know what they fear most, and what their relationship rackets are.

I actually liked the movie more than the book which is pretty rare for a King story.
I know some people really liked Dreamcatcher just like some really liked Insomnia and Tommyknockers. I won't pretend to understand why. I suppose you guys don't understand why I like Under the Dome or Desperation.

I loved Desperation and enjoyed Under the Dome.

I am going to try reading The Dark Tower. It is so long since I tried to read it and put it down that I have forgotten why I didn't get into it.

For me I prefer reading a book and then seeing the movie.

I have seen three of the Under the Dome episodes so far and it's ok.

bigrednz is watching them with me and I love it since he is a not a fan of Stephen King (just not his thing) but it's nice of him to make an effort just for me.
