How many of you actually write? I mean stories. I don't mean little porn stories to post up here. I mean actual stories that you really pour all your time into.
What is your motivation? Do they come to you or do you have to sit there and think and brainstorm? And what do you write about?

I'm sure there are a couple others. From the stories I've read on here over the years I think we should all be thankful that most keep it here. Horrible writing.

usually my motivation comes on strongest immediately after finishing a great book, or even a portion of a book that's very well written.

i get ideas for short stories, jot them down on a scrap of paper and stuff then into a dark little corner of my wallet. and there they remain

I agree with you. Some of the stories I have read here, really should just stay here. I can write erotic stories, but I choose not to. My desire to be a great author is far too potent to stick to porn.

Haha, try writing long term rather than just short stories. You will see that the satisfaction is far greater my friend.
