When it comes to love?

I've never experienced love until I was 21 years of age. It didn't even occur to me that I was in love until the relationship ended...

Now everything seems so different to me. Love songs sounds different to me. Movies seems different to me. And now I feel so alone whenever something special happens in life. I don't have anyone to hug, and to cuddle, and to talk to.

It's better to have love and lost then to have never loved at all?

I don't know....

I think HIV bombed the ignorance is bliss theory all to hell.

This is an answer each person has to decide for themselves. The question is "Is it worth the price?" for some yes for other no. For me I have loved 4 times 3 of the 4 I lost a small part of my life but I got it back with the 4 love. I also came to terms with my past loses by getting to know my daughter from the 2nd love. Is it worth it over 20 years of pain and for 5 1/2 years I've been happy. For me yes it was worth it. Some will got through hell for a chance to love others wouldn't walk across the street for love. So you decide.

This is when you need to live for yourself. Make yourself happy.

Do the things you like and want to do that a partner would inhibit you from doing.

Seek your own happiness. Don't let it be created for you by someone else. You'll never get what you want.

This doesn't mean you shouldn't want love, companionship and a partner. This just means that it is only temporary so you should try and fill it with things that are important to you otherwise.

*sigh*

The quote is "When ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise." It doesn't mean that being ignorant is something to revel in, it means you shouldn't go out seeking knowledge that will hurt you.

When the pain is new, you can't appreciate the good things that came from that love.

Eventually, if it really was love, you'll realize that yes, there were some wonderful things that happened because you loved and you wouldn't be the person you are if you hadn't.

It takes time to get there, though.

Tune your radio to sports or talk radio for a couple of weeks. Give yourself some time away from the sappy love songs, it will help.

Sillyman:
"The quote is "When ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise." It doesn't mean that being ignorant is something to revel in, it means you shouldn't go out seeking knowledge that will hurt you."

That's the quote, yes. The saying is "Ignorance is bliss."
The quote is, "Music hath charms to sooth the savage breast.". the saying is, "Music sooths the savage beast."
The quote is, "Sticks and stones are hard on bones when aimed with deathly art. Words can sting like anything, but silence breaks the heart." The saying is, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."

The saying isn't 'wrong' because it's not what the original speaker said. It's what the culture is saying.
