I am sure this has been asked before, but last night I not only talked in my sleep, but I actually made sense! I know this because I remember that I was explaining something to somebody. How do I know I was talking in my sleep? Because when I do I talk very slow in the dream (real time passes faster in my dreams), I have to stop every few seconds to take a breath, and I wake myself up.

I usually actually make sense (to me) when I do talk in my sleep - it is usually a short exclamation, but sometimes it is an actual conversation as it was last night.

How about you? Does what you say make sense or is it gibberish?

I used to, right up to the time I had my first baby. Maybe after I beat sleep deprivation, I'll start again.

I voted no....but I laugh hysterically all the time in my sleep....it freaks everyone right the fuck out.

I dunno, maybe?

I know I have very vivid, technicolor dreams, and can wake up and remember everything about it. My ex's couldn't believe how'd I'd go off on a tangent explaining whatever crazy dream I had just had, remembering the slightest little details. :)

I've been known to rat myself out in my sleep....I always wondered how my mom knew what I was up to...... ;)

It never ceases to amaze how different dreams can be for different people. For some people their dreams are almost like when they are concious, others can't even remember if they dream or not, some dream only in black & white, some only in color - the variety is amazing.

I have talked in my sleep on occasion and I also sometimes sleep with my eyes open.

I did it a lot when i was younger and really freaked out my mom. I have had gf's notice once or twice too. The funniest time it happend was one night freshman year of college after we had gotten back to the dorms. We had been out at a party and I was crashing in another guys room who was not there since I lived all the way across campus and could not make it there in my drunken state.

I feel asleep with my head hanging over the side of the bed and the door open. A friend of mine notices the door is open and walks into the room where he sees me lying on the bed with both eyes open in a very dead looking position. He freaks out and starts shaking me shouting my name asking if I am ok trying to check for a pulse.

I wake up and just about slug him since I am confused as to what the hell is going on. After I explained to him that I sleep with my eyes open sometimes he decided that I was ok and left the room.

I also have completly lucid dreams on occasion. They are normaly nightmares where I am running from or fighting something. Usually it is the black man but sometimes they are other demons. Once i realize it is a lucid dream I always win though since I have control of everything.

I only do when I'm in a very deep sleep and someone attempts to wake me up.

I've said some pretty weird stuff, I've also made a few comments that were a lil hard to explain to my ex. Thankfully though I have a vivid imagination and I think quick on my feet. :D

lmao Azweed I was at a frat party one night and some dude passed out... when my date informed me that he was sleeping but his eyes were wide open that freaked me out. lol

My son sleeps with his lids opened partially.. and you can see his eyes moving in his REM.

I agree Heretic, I've always been fascinated by the dreamstate. Most of my ex's claim they don't dream, I find that impossible, I mean you've GOT to dream at some point, right??

With my dreams, they usually involve something real to me, and something outlandish.. they're always quite eventful. I remember most every detail after I've woken, and even throughout the day. And during the dream, I am very aware of my surroundings, it's like I'm awake, just watching a movie with my eyes closed.. and can wake myself up at any point.

I had a neighbors son staying with me while she was in the hospital one nite i screamed will you shut the fuck up.

He thought i was yelling at him i also kept him up with my snoring.

:D

I tend to talk in my sleep when on the phone.

Someone will call, we will converse, I will have no recollection of the conversation.

I am obviously very entertaining at this time.

No, I don't talk in my sleep, but my husband does. Sometimes he makes sense, sometimes he doesn't. He has been known to jump up and do crazy things while he is talking in his sleep. More than once he has gotten himself in trouble with me for the things he's said!

I must do something...

When I wake up at the crack of noon, I have a hoarse throat indicating some sort of vocalization. I'm either talking, or snoring. I've had others say I've carried on a conversation in detail with them, making sense, but having no rememberance in the morning of the previous dialogue. :D

I laugh in my sleep alot. Also I moan alot too. Dunno if it's a sexual moan but they say it's a moan. But I usually remember my dreams for about a day or so. Every once in a while I will forget my dream as soon as I wake up if not a few minutes afterwards. But usually I remember every little thing of my dream as well.

And I'm not sure if I dream in color or not...gotta think abou that when I go to sleep tonite.

But as far as talking goes...I am honestly not sure.

Oh and I sneeze in my sleep too...lol

I talk in my sleep, I laugh in my sleep. I've gotten up in the morning to find my hubby mad as hell at me for something I said or did in my sleep. Oh well.

One of my kids is like me. He talks and laughs. I go in and listen to him sometimes, what a hoot.

I had a college roommate that used to talk in his sleep. I told him about this and he was insistant that he didn't. So, one night I went to bed with my tape recorder by my bed. Sure enough, he started talking in his sleep. I had hit record and moved in to get a better recording. I had just set it up on his nightstand when out of his mout comes, "No, No, I will still respect you in the morning." Clear as day.
I started to laugh my head off and he woke up. I told him what he had said and he still didn't believe me until I played it back for him. That tape was always great to play at parties.:D

LMAO that is mean!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LMAO OMG LOL!!!!!

sounds like he was tryin to bed a lady LMAO

bf insists I snore I DO NOT SNORE!!

I don't make any sense when I "talk" in my sleep--namely because I don't talk so much as roar nonsense. Doesn't happen very often (I don't think) because my roommate usually remarks if I do.

..Khhhhhaaaaagggggg....gggghhhhhoooonnnaaa....acchhhhh

I don't feel like a Klingon.
