dpod, i want to say that i'm sorry that these women you know rant about thier weight. I love my BBW women, However, i've known a few that constantly bitch and moan about being "fat", but yet they're not doing anything about it. I guess my logic is, Don't like something, change it. A person should be proud of who they are, no matter what. If i can't be happy and proud of me, and accept me, and respect me, well, i can't expect the next person to do it for me either.

I ran across this thread by accident, and am glad I did. It is nice to hear of men who think that larger women are ok. I ought to have some of you talk to my husband : (

Being a BW (Big Woman) is not easy in our society. It is really hard to keep up a sense of worth when all you see is skinny this and skinny that. And especially when you have a spouse who remembers the "good old days"...when I was thin. Do I sound down? LOL! Yeah, I guess I kind of am. Oh, well. Que cera, cera.

Now I am trying to slim down for health reasons, but I know I'll never be under 220-230 lbs. And I'm ok with that. My dad isn't but that's his opinion. He's thin and keeps pushing to stay that way in sunny california.
I can remember a Garfield strip where he says, "We large people (I think that's what he said. I know he's a cat and cat's do think they're better than people, mine knows that she is better.) eat large, live large, laugh large. HA HA HA. " Jon looks puzzled and ask what's going on. Garfield replies," You wouldn't understand skinny person."
We all can remember back to when BBW were sung about, about 10 years ago. Sir Mix a Lot with Baby's Got Back.
In other words, we're beautiful and wonderful.

I too am one that did not take the poll due to the fact my answer was not to be found. I think Cipher hits the nail on the head when she says that it's personality. It is more important to me what is on the inside of a person than the outside. I will be the first to admit that the bigger the breasts the more I like it, but I would not think of basing a lifelong committment, or something as simple as a casual date on the size of any one area on any individual. The outer shell is never an indication of the beauty within. If it were, flowers would never adorn a home, windowsill or garden...afterall, who really thinks a seed is much to look at?
