Adrina - I'll give you the serious answer. From a legal perspective, the answer is "No". The "State", whatever the "State" is defined as depending on your will, owns you. The process of granting rights and reserving rights, is then negotiated through the messy process of "Government".

I realize your primary focus and prompter of the discussion is the current abortion question, but it extends far beyond that, abortion just being one of the many examples in society.

All laws imply/assume that the state has a "controlling ownership" in our bodies. The whole historical process of carving out individual rights under any form of government begins there.

Now, there is plenty room to debate it philosophically, and I've even set aside the religious/spiritual environments, since there it's a whole other discussion. But, at the end of the day, all governments, whether or man or of god, to end state is the same. You do not own your body, regardless of your gender.

yes I would agree with that unfortunately. personal opinion aside I feel a woman has the right to decide just as I man should be given the same rights when it comes to there bodies. That being said this Covid shit really brought to light just how easy some people can be very hypocritical. I can’t even count how many people in my life personally trying to force these vaccines down my throat to only end up being called selfish etc. blah, blah. Fast forward to All that’s going on With Roe versus Wade and some of these people in my life talking me down for refusing to get that shot calling me selfish n whatnot. So the moral of the story is that in 1983, 3 well armed individuals with a network of accomplices from N.D. to Arkansas with an alternate belief of American law were able to kill 2 officers and injure many others, but came nowhere close to overthrowing anything, but sure - I need whatever weapon is necessary to overthrow tyranny. Is that about right? I always want to ask - tyranny according to whom??? I've noticed that this almost always comes from a selfish and privileged POV.
