Taxes wouldn't need to increase if a lot of taxpayer dollars weren't being wasted already, like on imperialist wars on the other side of the two biggest oceans on the planet, which in turn causes inflation. I read somewhere a while back that the US spends more money on its military than the next 10 countries on the list combined, even though those oceans are the biggest security that the US could have compared to countries in Europe and Asia.

I'd like to see the full list of what taxpayers' money is spent on, and how much. A lot of it must be corporate welfare too (sorry, "subsidies").

The US doesn't spend the most on it's military due to security, it has enough Nukes to destroy the world a dozen times over. So from the point of security, the US is pretty safe. It does though use it's conventional military to ensure it can/will be be the dominant voice at the table in world affairs.

The military is an arm of US diplomacy. By doing this the US can ensure it's economy remains strong and robust and competitive on the home front.

I'd like to see the full list of what taxpayers' money is spent on, and how much. A lot of it must be corporate welfare too (sorry, "subsidies").

The information is readily available on US government web sites, you just need to put the time and effort into gathering it.
