Do you own your body?

The whole idea of “teenager” is an American prosperity construct designed to extend childhood.

In most of the world, people become adults when they become biological adults.

I suggest it’s an open question as to whether the notion of western post ww2 “ youth culture” yields any benefits in the 21st Century.

Might make a good Discussion on a real discussion forum somewhere.
Archiving your very first post. I’ll be collecting the entire set.

Of course. A girl child does not own her body. But a fetus can own her body. Regardless of anything the parents say.

This is when the kids say make it make sense.

Ironically, Roe had made sense out of it.

It was a just ruling that protected individual freedoms and rights nationwide.

Just look at the clusterfuck everything involving abortion is right now.

And the usual suspects JUST DON’T CARE.

Sociopaths usually don’t.

SAD!!!

Bullshit. This is where that case came from. They throw shit at the fan until it sticks.

Weve seen it with every single case they bring.

Whether you recognize it or not is your own issue
If you’ve bought into the hyperbole and have convinced yourself that a ban on contraception has a realistic chance of happening in your lifetime, I certainly don’t want to be the one to change your mind. Birth control preppers should head to their local CVS and stock up while they still can.

I've seen slim to none turn into 100% multiple times in my lifetime. You don't panic shop to oppose it.....you lobby and vote and participate.

Fuck off with your bullshit.

Watch out!⚠️ Mexican cartels are already forming, ready to exploit desperate Americans by flooding the country with pills and latex products. 😂

You just don't fucking get it. That's obvious.
He doesn't want to get it, anyone can see that. Never mind Clarence Thomas as good as offered to overturn Griswold v CT if he gets the chance.

The threat is real. Condom vending machines in men’s rooms are becoming rare. CVS and Walgreens are closing stores in crime invested cities. Birth control pills require prescriptions. It’s a slow walk. 😂

Ah yes, the venerable There You Go Again trick. Let the other side tell the truth about your extremism, and then argue that it can't be true because it sounds so outrageous.

It works precisely because the truth about the Republicans usually is outrageous. Everyone remembers Reagan saying "There you go again," a phrase which is sometimes even credited with winning the election for him. Far fewer remember he said it in response to Jimmy Carter's warning that he had opposed Medicare all along and would try to cut it if elected. Fewer still remember that, once he was in office, he did in fact try to do just that.

I note you didn't even try to address my point about Justice Thomas.

Gaslighting is the Merriam-Webster Word Of The Year because of scum like BabyBoobs.

“They are who we thought they were”

Broesder, a 35-year-old mother of one in Idaho, knows about miscarriages. She had four in 2022, and three of them felt like a bad period, she said. But the most recent one, which happened after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, lasted for weeks and was severely painful. And due to Idaho’s strict abortion laws, Broesder said she was not able to get the healthcare she needed.

Angry and overwhelmed, Broesder turned to TikTok and began documenting how she was feeling throughout the miscarriage and multiple frustrating hospital visits. Her 12 videos about her 19-day miscarriage ended up being viewed hundreds of thousands of times

Pro "life" indeed.

I've played that card before. Their stock response is, "We didn't say 'pro-quality-of-life', we just said 'pro-life'." In other words, they really and truly don't give a shit about the women. (To be completely fair, I once had an anti-choicer actually say that too. At least he was honest.)

Gaslighting requires fuel.

The pro-birthers can only maintain the charade of caring about the mother and child post delivery for so long before their capacity to shovel bullshit runs out.

As you learned first hand.

I don't think one can say pro-life when they think that women in this position are considered acceptable casualties. This isn't even a quality of life issue. They are willing to accept these women's deaths.

I agree, which is why I always say "anti-choice" or "pro-forced-birth". "Pro-Life" is both inaccurate and offensive to those of us who respect a woman's right to make her own decisions about her own life. (It does have the added benefit of really pissing them off, but that's not actually why I do it.)

Same.

The Pro-forced-birth crowd also fails to recognize the harm their “laws” do to the immediate and extended family of the woman being forced to give birth.

The financial and time requirements for a child , and often, an ADDITIONAL child can be the straw that breaks a family of camels’ backs.

The old saying “you haven’t had CHILDREN until you have had more than one” isn’t meant to be a joke. It is quite serious cautionary advice from people who have had CHILDREN.

Simple question, how many on the right voted against the last contraceptive bill?
