Do you own your body?

So, No isn't No?

As voters continue to reject abortion restrictions, Republican candidates say there's more to do

Five of the leading Republican candidates for president this week reiterated their opposition to abortion after the Ohio and Virginia election results
Well that leads to an advantage for the Democratic party candidates I'd say. Let them keep whistling a tune, only a minority wants to hear.

Ohio Republicans Say It's Their 'God Given Right' to Restrict Abortion Access

https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...cans-stop-issue-1-abortion-rights-1234875333/

“No amendment can overturn the God-given rights with which we were born,” state Rep. Beth Lear (R-Galena) added in the Republican’s statement.

Break this bullshit down. Their god has dominion over you and our government.

And, let's not forget the idiocy of using the word "born".

This is the zealotry and stupidity brought to us by the anti abortion fanatics.

If only the Court could respond by removing this 'person' from office.

I'm a bit more concerned about their god taking priority over everything else - including the constitution.

Remember when the right wing lying gaslighters here and elsewhere assured us pro -choice advocates that we were / are too obsessed with Roe being overturned, because the issue would go back to the states, and then it would be decided by THE PEOPLE there???

Turns out, the right wing fanatics NEVER intended to honor / respect the will of THE PEOPLE, regardless of whether it was at the federal or state level, and they will NEVER stop attacking / assaulting the freedoms Americans have fought and died for.

Side note:

Those same right wing lying gaslighters here and elsewhere also assured us that we were / are too obsessed with the danger the corrupt orange traitor posed / poses to America and democracy.

JFC

SAD!!!

Ex-Univision boss slams network’s Trump interview as ‘propaganda’

https://news.yahoo.com/ex-univision...qkp7Sq9aE_o-lcMvUybN40iCse2Xn9jD0bzPO7ZpkhBIf

If trump allows you to have a one on one, sit down interview with him then you were more than likely carefully chosen for your lack of probing questions and the requisite follow ups. And if you entered the interview with journalistic integrity, it will more than likely be in left in worthless shreds by the end of the interview.

Texas abortion case goes before state's highest court, as more women join lawsuit

On Tuesday, the Texas Supreme Court will consider this question: Are the state's abortion laws harming women when they face pregnancy complications?

The case, brought by the Center for Reproductive Rights, has grown to include 22 plaintiffs, including 20 patients and two physicians. They are suing Texas, arguing that the medical exceptions in the state's abortion bans are too narrow to protect patients with complicated pregnancies. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is fiercely defending the state's current abortion laws and arguing that the case should be dismissed.

At a hearing in Austin on Tuesday, the nine Texas Supreme Court justices will consider whether to apply a temporary injunction that a lower court judge ruled should be in place. That injunction would give doctors greater discretion to perform abortions when a doctor determines that a woman's health is threatened or that a fetus has a condition that could be fatal. It would make more people eligible for exceptions to Texas's abortion bans, but it would not overturn those laws.

Texas AG’s office argues women should sue doctors — not state — over lack of abortion access

“If a woman is bleeding, if she has amniotic fluid running down her legs — then the problem is not with the law,” Klusmann said. “It is with the doctors.”

Sleezebag motherfuckers know goddamn well that it is their poorly written overtly zealous legislation which is endangering women's lives. Not like they care. It's all about they buuu-haaabeee!

That they don't give two fucks about after it exits the birth canal.

I really am sick to death of these politicians. They talk nonsense as if they know more than doctors about healthcare issues.

Kansas Supreme Court recognises, for the first time, the 'fundamental right to abortion under the state constitution.'

The Kansas Supreme Court has reaffirmed the state constitution’s protection of abortion rights. Recently, a Kansas Judge blocked a new law affecting abortion-seeking patients in the state. Lawmakers in Kansas recently voted a new law into effect. The law reportedly details specific information that abortion providers are required to tell patients.

Before this new law, Kansas required a 24-hour wait period for women seeking abortions since the 1990s. However, a district judge ruled the law unconstitutional, stating the state could not uphold it.

“The State’s capacity to legislate pursuant to its own moral scruples is necessarily curbed by the Kansas Constitution and its Bill of Rights,” Judge Jayaram said.

That's why they're anti-same sex relationships and anti-contraception too, as well as being anti-choice. They resent those working class and middle class people who get sexual pleasure while not having babies for future cheap labor. The Marjorie Taylor Greene types are fighting a losing war in the long run. People today are too knowledgable and won't put up with it, even a lot of Republicans, like voters in red states voting for pro-choice options in referendums.

Texas attorney general petitions state supreme court after woman who sued the state was granted permission for an abortion

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has petitioned the Texas Supreme Court to intervene in the case of a pregnant woman who was granted permission by a lower court judge on Thursday to obtain an emergency abortion.

A Texas judge ruled Kate Cox, who sued the state seeking a court-ordered abortion, can legally terminate her pregnancy.

It's official.

Republicans in Texas - and many other places - believe that women should carry dying and nonviable fetuses until they themselves die or about to die.

Conservatives: Justify this. Justify how this is appropriate. You voted for this. You wanted this. Tell us how this is not only okay but good.
