Do you approve? Or does it make you want to run to the bathroom and hurl violently?

I like it if it isn't too sweet. I will usually cut it with some milk to dilute it. The rest of my family would rather drink moose semen, they can't stand the stuff.

Holiday foods seem to elicit a love it or hate it reaction from people. Egg nog, mince tarts, fruitcake, plum pudding - all seem to give some people gastronomic heebie jeebies.

Not keen on it, used to like Snowballs as a kid though. My Mum still has one on Christmas Day. The only time she drinks!

I am a big fan of egg nog. I'm choosy about the brand I buy, and I've not mastered making it myself. I bought a pint of egg nog ice cream to enjoy this evening.

I used to love drinking it, although not much of it because it's so sweet. Once my gall bladder came out though I can't tolerate anything with eggs, so it's a no go.

I enjoy a festive glass or two during the holiday season and will only purchase a particular brand. My kids seem to enjoy it, but tire of it right about the time it stops appearing in the dairy coolers.

We have a neighbour who, from the beginning of December until just after New Years, always has a glass of it in his hands. The guy even carries a wee shaker of nutmeg in his pocket. He is a bit of a booze hound, our neighbour, and I think the egg nog is more about a break from Pepsi with his Captain Morgan Dark than it is about enjoying festive dairy products.

Yes, I love the real homemade stuff, and the fake prepackaged stuff.

Couple years ago I made the eggnog fudge recipe on KAF, it was good, walnuts would have made it better!

It's not. Rotgut mixed with rhino jizz. On the spectrum of drinks that lubricate your slow pathetic decline it falls somewhere south of Ripple and north of Brass Monkey. It used to fuck Zima when the latter was young and naive. Great tits though. Pennsylvania Dutch roomed with Everclear before EC went on to widespread fame fueling trailer park hunch punch parties nationwide. They still send polite texts around the holidays, though.
