I'm not necessarily talking about the pagans on the board. Though I do encourage their feedback on this.

Do you have a ritual you do everyday that you truly enjoy? Drinking coffee while reading the paper? Taking a walk? Burning candles or incense? Music? Sex?

What do you do to feel good? What routine makes you feel better?

Odd to relate, My only regular ritual coincides with showering.

Didn't plan it that way nor does it need to be that way. But it works for me.

And no its nothing to do with touching myself. :p

I go to the gym every other day and do laps in the pool followed by half an hour in the sauna and then a long shower. I've become set in my ways and hate to miss out on going.

Listening to music while I read, cook, clean, talk, meditate. While I'm online, in the car, at the waterpark, pool.. you get the idea.

Music fills my home throughout the day in almost every activity I'm involved in.. it makes it more pleasant, soothing, exciting and it soothes that bit deep down in my soul.

The bathtub is my comfort spot. I like long, hot, soapy soaks in the tub with music playing and sometimes some candles.

I have a number of rituals I do everyday that make me very happy and relaxed or energized depending on what I am looking for.

My favorite is my nightly bath and yoga...the hot steaming soak and then the gentle stretching of my relaxed body to soothing sensual music is the ultimate for me right now.

I have some others in mind but I'm holding out for the right moment for those.

I don't know if this is what you mean, but the only thing I really do on a daily basis like a ritual is praying before bed. It's almost like I can't really sleep until I've thanked God for my family.

Mine would be showering. I love long, hot, luxurious showers and I don't like to be rushed or do it when the kids are home. :)

This works. I was looking at it from this definition: "A detailed method of procedure faithfully or regularly followed".

Though how detailed is up to you. But this fits what I was looking for. :)

I feel like this about my baths. This is why they are only done after the kids go to bed and the phone is turned off (though everyone knows not to call at that time anyway). Music is turned on, candles lit, incense burning...and soon I will own that mat that Summery has.

I watch the news daily without fail..I must know whats happening in my world. Then I have a glass of tea check email, come to Lit and chill til 9 am. :nana:

Baths are great too, Caly. I'm most relaxed in water of any kind.

I grew up in a fairly strict household, and wasn't allowed to take a shower over 10 minutes, so I think I'm still rebelling against that.

It's a guilty pleasure, but I try to make up for my water usage in other ways.

I feel this way about music. My family is big on music. My father is a DJ and my grandmother was a pianist. I've had a great appreciation for all styles...though growing up with Gram hearing gospels, sung with such enthusiasm and joyous exclaimations, were always wonderful to experience. I have a rather eclectic musical library...I love to listen to a little bit of this and a little bit of that...mostly I love dancing every night with my children. We do that every night.

Hey there Tranquility! Long time no see!

I do all that too. :) No better way to start the day than to grab a cuppa tea and chill. I can't wait for the weather to get better. I make breakfast with the kiddies and sit them down to eat and sneak out onto my balcony for a few minutes...gawd I miss that. I can't wait!

Every day I go to the gym, slip on my headphones, and just lose myself to my workout music for an hour or so while get the heart and blood pumping. Then, after work and on the weekends, I go out to the barn to just chill with my horses and ride and unwind before heading home to the family.

LOL...I was lucky to be raised by a single woman who loved long hot baths herself.

I can appreciate that Ruby! Don't feel guilty. Us moms don't often do enough for ourselves...take it as one of those Mommy-momments ;)

Daily rituals are I take at least two showers a day, and work out; another ritual is I drink tea before I sing.

I see a lot of people have water and exercise incorporated somehow into their rituals.

I hope I didn't scare off the pagans. I know a good number here have rituals such as reading cards or stones, meditations, etc.

Mines like that.

I'm not doing deatils though. Just cause it would sound as silly as it most likely is.

Now inquiring minds will haunt you until you tell, O.

You can always whisper it to me, babe. And just for the record, persistence is one of my finer qualities. ;)
