Do you go to theme parks?

I like them. Sometimes it's the ride but for me the entertainment and live shows make me come back.

I do like the rides and go on them but I not willing to stand in line for an hour and half.

What about you?

Rarely. Epicot was the last one but only because we were already in Florida to take a Caribbean cruise. I prefer the actual locations they are trying to capture in their homogenized way (which I guess will cause me a bit of effort to find Hogwarts).

I used to. My father worked for Busch so we had free access to Busch Gardens, Sea World, etc. So I mostly went there.

I worked doing some engineering for Disney World. So I used to go there a lot during a six month period of time while I worked for them.

Yes, although I no longer enjoy roller coasters. I did when I was younger.

Same here. My girlfriends a coaster nut hands up all that. Im white knuckles and eyes closed half the time.

I used to like them.

I even got spooked on the finding nemo ride at Disney.

lol

Only to take the kids. I hate roller coasters and rides, unless it's the swan boats.

Canada's Wonderland. As a kid I didn't like rollercoasters. But now I love those kind of rides. The scariest ones are the old wooden ones that shake and rattle and sound like they are going to fall apart. The secret is to actually scream and whoop.

Good place to go on an all day date.

How about the fair? We have a good sized one here. Rides, carnies, shows and stuff.

Or is that covered under theme park? Which I think of as Marineworld and Disney.

Did the Orlando thing last year and loved Busch Gardens. Didn't even bother with money sucker Disneyworld. Legoland was stupid, overpriced, and boring.

I'd put Busch Gardens on par with Magic Mountain from back in the day. Damn those new roller coasters feel better on the back, but they're so much more scary with those loopdyloos.

How creepy that'd be after hours.

Thanks for all the comments but I did notice many reply without mentioning what park they went to.

I recently went to Universal Studios in Hollywood. I enjoyed the rides more than I expected to, but I'm not really a rides person.

I have done Disney, Universal and MGM. I am not a big "ride" person but I will do it. We go to the fairs but I skip those rides. My husband and daughter do them.

I like Busch Gardens because it is not all standing in line for coasters. They also have shows and animals.

Disney has gotten way too expensive. Never been to Legoland. What did the kids think of it?

Where do you go?

Pro tip: if you are going to try to pretend to have moved from Texas to Orlando you should probably be aware that Spidey's reference to the city beautiful is Orlando.

Maybe you can get a Florida state ID card to post, David.

They thought it was lame too. Preschool kiddie rides and they aren't that young. The dioramas were cool, that was it. The only decent roller coaster we were in line for got stuck at the top. Then it started raining, heavily. Haha enjoyed watching that scene. 30 mins they were up there before the peeps finally walked up and physically took them out and carefully walked them down a slippery, metal ramp. Then the place closed at like 6 pm. Lame, once again.

Sea World also had pretty good scary rides. Universal in Orlando was fun but expensive also, and the wait times without the special pass are ridiculous. A couple years ago I won 4 VIP tickets to Universal in Cali. Now that's the way to go. A personal guide, golf cart, special gourmet lunch, behind the scene tour, escorted front of the line on any ride.

Knots Berry Farm in Cali always brings back good memories.

I now hate you. Well actually I have received backstage passes and private tours. Those things are wonderful. I even carried a Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade balloon. I would like to say it was because of my personal awesomeness but I was just in the right place at the right time.

Would much rather hike in a national park or slit my wrists. ;) I don't enjoy any place with crowds and noise and concrete. Or that charges money to do stuff. But to each his own, I say. Prefer if the masses stay in the theme parks and stay outta my woods. :):rose:

(Feli, your hermit is showing...)

It's funny you should mention that. I normally divide my vacation between touristy stuff and national and state parks. Both have something to offer.
