Do you get jealous?

I am not the jealous kind, at least I thought so....lol

Suddenly I have been feeling this more and more....I am not sure it's entirely a bad thing, but it's been happening quite a bit....I am wondering how you all deal with it???

Jealousy is something I try not to practice. But it usually comes out more as:

Feeling: DAMN I'M JEALOUS

Thought: No right. Stop it. Don't be jealous.

Feeling: BUT I WANNA BE HIM/HER!

Thought: STOP BEING JEALOUS FUCKER!

Feeling: I'm trying, ya goof!

Thought: Well try harder! It's okay! You're good enough, you're smart enough, and gosh darn it...

Feeling: Oh shaddup. You can take your saturday night live skits and shove em up your arse!

Thought: Fine, be jealous. Just don't ACT jealous.

Feeling: That's in your job description, not mine.

Thought: I don't get paid enough for this shit.

I talk about it with my mate. If I keep it in my head my imagination runs wild and it usually runs in the wrong direction. That's not good. I can work myself into a tizzy real quick. So I put it out there so I don't have to carry it....

Ah, well. In my experience completely honesty and trust are really important. I have to be able to say that I'm so fucking jealous of *fill in the blank* that I feel like my head is on fire .. and he'll reassure me as best he can - or whoever's having the difficulty.

Also, in having that openness .. kinda helps you get over it, keep a healthy perspective on the whole thing.

Works for me, anyhow.

in real life i dont get jealous, as for like jealous of movie stars etc, i never have, well maybe a little cause they got all the money but thats all over in a matter of minutes

There's only been one person that I've had those feelings of jealousy and erm.. "properterial" (sp?) towards him.

Drove me flippin nuts because that isn't who I have ever been with anyone else. He was the same towards me.. but neither of us did it to a degree that made it difficult, irritating .. we never tried to be possessive.

I just tried to ignore those feelings and reassure myself that it was me he loved, it was me he came to.

Yeah, in the past. The one boyfriend-dood who I was most jealous around turned out to be a big ole cheater. Go figure.

I don't usually get jealous either....I guess it's a matter of wanting something, way more than I originally anticipated....I am not a raging jealous maniac though so it's all good lol....

I used to think that I was immune to jealousy and I've never considered myself to be the possessive type. I must admit to having some of those feelings, lately. Maybe it was just PMS.
