Do you ever…

all the time - I work from home and most of my work meetings are both on teams, and boring.
You do have to be cautious about which window you are posting in though - I almost have posted into the wrong one a couple of times.

I always use my ‘phone for Lit.

No, I never have. I've never even been on an electronic conference call.

Tomorrow is an all day long boring zoom meeting on a Saturday, ugh. I'm sure I'l find my way to lit. I'll either use my phone or a separate computer. Can't leave this fingerprints on the work machine.

It's a bit of a dissociative feeling, teasing oneself on Lit while the meeting drones on in the background...

I have lied about bad bandwidth and a poor signal purely so that people can’t see me 🤭.

I suspect it's a common thing now because of the prevalence of teleworking. The divide between personal time and work time isn't what it used to be.

I have a work relationship that is on and off. Voice and text because of distance. In one of these all day meetings I had to be on camera for the meeting (about 60 participants) and asked her to turn on her video she had been edging for hours. It was so hot because I could see how flush she was. Eventually after 3 or 4 hours of edging her she came on camera.

…post on here, when you are in a work meeting?

I’m currently in the office and in a Senior Leadership Team meeting. Thankfully enough people are remote that it’s on Teams.

I’m a bad girl aren’t I?

Em
Just in case people think I’m terribly grand being in an SLT. I only just about scrape in and suspect I’m really there to meet some diversity and inclusion metric.

Management is full of opportunity to sound like we are important without much of it really mattering. I think most organizations are functioning at about 40 to 60 percent efficiency.

You are like my very own little Imp of the Perverse.

Maybe I should have changed my screen name to that 🤭.

I wish I could claim creator's rights, but alas, it's one of Neal Stephenson's more memorable ones.

I like to pretend I'm like the Morrigan. But, alas, instead of Ravens I have a Pigeon of Malaise and a Blue Chicken of Disappointment.

(I spend far too much time here during work hours. Thankfully I'm in a different timezone to the rest of you horrible lot. Alas.)

The Imp of the Perverse was described and possibly coined by Edgar Allen Poe long before Stephenson.

Neal Stephenson is one of my favourite authors, though.

And that 20th Century way wasn't so bad. When you walked out the door, you were gone. They could call you on your landline, but that was rare. It probably was the introduction of beepers that was the beginning of he end.

Actually, when you walked out of any door, nobody (family, friends, lovers) could contact you or really knew where you were. There were some upsides to that.

I totally agree. I think there's something wrong with the whole 24/7 availability ethic. I don't find it admirable at all.

You know what they say.

Multi-tasking is just single-tasking in front of other people.

3 years ago I was driving an average of 75 minutes each way to and from work. Now post-Covid I work full time from my house. I barely put any miles on my vehicle. In the middle of the day I can take a break from work and do some yard work, or even masturbate to literotica. For me I am fine with being more available to my employer in exchange for this new reality.

Yes, I have. Just the other day I was in a room with a group of coworkers, with a very lovely naked Lit pic open on my phone, which was laying on my leg (hopefully) out of sight.

It was delightful.
