Do you eat while reading?

I love to eat and read! I can;t do sandwiches but chocolate or crisps or sweeties or pieces of orange, grapes or an apple and I'm a happy muncher I try not to get my books mucky but sometimes it just happens!

Don't eat. Sometimes drink. If the book's good, the coffee gets cold. If the book's hot, hands are elsewhere.

I always read when I'm eating a meal. I spend more time worrying about what to read when I eat than on what to eat.

Other times it depends, then I'm either smoking or eating. My favourite snack these days is dry roasted peanuts so I don't need to worry about stains.

On the other hand, my bunny thinks my books are vert tasty, or at least useful for wearing his teeth out on.

When I'm in a deep read, I don't put the book down for anything. I eat, drink, and even use the bathroom while reading. I often screen my calls and forget to open the blinds. Oh, I've been without a truly great book for several days and I'm so needy right now! Time to hit the library!

I have serious problems eating without a book or atleast a TV-program to keep my eyes company while I shovel food into my mouth.

tip for eating cheetos while online or reading an actual book...keep two paper towels handy...one damp, one dry...clean off most of the orange stuff before typing or turning a page...only use one hand to eat too!
and yes, i'm guilty of eating meals whilst online, surfing, IM'ing, blogging...er...hm...once while 'cybering'...the food was much 'hotter and spicier' than the cyber...yeah, he was a one time only.

Eat while reading always! I always have at least one book going, and they're scattered all over the house - you never know when you might get caught without one.

Coffee and donuts, cheese and crackers, or even supper, If I have a spare minute, I'm reading, and I have to work food in there somewhere, but I'm certainly not giving up my reading time!

I read in the bath, at the table, at work, on a train, on a ferry, on a bus, in the garden, at the beach, in the car (when parked, of course.....duhhhh)

The only place I cannot read is in bed.....I fall asleep.

I must be a freak, to me they are sacred objects that are to be treated with reverence since they contain my literary friends. When I finish a book it's like I say goodbye to them until I can go back and visit, I hate to think of them living in the slums...lol.

I guess the common thing we have is that our books are loved and cherished in different ways , like the people in our lives.

I even get pissy when my magazines get wrinkled. Talk about a pet peeve. I bought a magazine at a check out one time and the girl crinkled the cover all up when she scanned it!!!! I remember thinking, "Good god woman! If i wanted it mangled I would have subscribed!!!"

Sometimes I spill on my books, but I feel quite bad about it. I hate it when that happens- or when a cover gets torn off. Alas! I live in a rough and tumble household and things like that have been happening a lot lately. (the last few years)

Mostly I smoke and drink tea while reading (sans tea on the bus). My books all have intermittent pages with my fingerprints in red (lipstick that gets on 'em while smoking).

I almost always eat while reading, one night waiting for my son I ate a whole family bag of peanut m&ms well not the whole bag, when he came out from swimming I think there were 5 left!!!

I always drink while reading though, specially water or decaf pop/soda, not paying attention to how much is drank helps with getting water in through the day.

Now as for the computer, she is my buddy, 6:30am we start the day with a double double coffee, decaf of course, usually toast or bagel, kids go off to school, more typing is done, lunch time rolls around then I get up to do my business and make a sandwich and grab a pop/ soda or water. She is the only one that listens and puts up with my shit! lol
