Do we have any ISTJ's here?

Heh, who knew?

You are an INFP!

As an INFP, you are Intraverted, iNtuative, Feeling , Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Introverted Feeling with Extraverted Intuition.

This is defined as a NF personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Idealist (Identity Seeking) type, and more specifically the Healers or Idealist

As a weblogger, you have wonderful words to express your feelings because of your idealism. Because you don't like conflict, you may be likely to make one list of links and leave it for a long time without updating for fear of offending.

Oh man, I can't wait till Kristine notices the hits coming from this site! :D

Probably should posted this in the bdsm meals on wheels forum, but what do you expect from an INTP.

I'm an Introverted, sensing, feeling, judging. Basically it said i would be a good submissive, but i already knew that.:)

Yup, the little test thingie said so. (For whatever it's worth)

And the point is?

The actual Meyer's Briggs Personality test is a much more comprehensive test than this quick, fun to do quiz.

The problem is that I received a different rating (50%) than I did using the more comprehensive form which is also much more accurate.

Of course, all these tests try and fit you into the categories that they predetermine. I think even the longer Meyer's Briggs Personality test is flawed.

I took the test. I had a hard time selecting the answers. I wanted to move some things between the categories they had.

I wasn't able to really truly answer. Based on what I finally selected...

This is what the results say I am. :)

As an ISFJ, you are Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging.
This makes your primary focus on Introverted Sensing with Extraverted Feeling.

This is defined as a SJ personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Guardian (Security Seeking) type, and more specifically the Protectors or Nurturer.

In blogging, your journal will always be immaculate and have a touch of style. You may also feel overwhelmed because you want to be a part of everything going on. Because of your wonderful memory, other bloggers may come to you to ask about things you posted months before.

I have taken variations on this test numerous times, but I am always pretty much the same...

Here is what I got.. no big surprise in any of it.

Sorry - guess I was supposed to post this so people knew?

You are an ISTP!
As an ISTP, you are Intraverted, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Introverted Thinking with Extraverted Sensing

This is defined as a SP personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Artisans (Sensation Seeking) type, and more specifically the Crafters or Mechanics.

Because of your desire for action and independance, you will change the format of blogging or design frequently to keep it interesting and different. Your loyalty may have you reading the same blogs over a long period of time. Even though you could be easily bored with blogging, you might find that because you like following a project through, this is a good way for you to use your alone time to sort the facts you pick up through the day.

Okay, now all I have to do is find out what the heck blogging is.

I have had Doms contact me on line and request that I do the Meyer's Briggs very soon into the chit chat. While, used loosely, it could give some insight into what sort of person I am, I really think the evidence is in the interaction.

Does anyone think that there might be a common denominator with any of these personality profiles for submissives? Dominants?

Sounds like a research project just itching to be studied.

They're telling me I'm a crafter, a mechanic. Hell. I'm a musician is all.

My dad and I didn't get along from the time I was 15 until I was 25 because, as he put it, 'You're too damn independent.'

I'm an INFP. When you read the linked page with more detail, the descriptions are right on the money. Almost scary...

Zip, is the full test you spoke of anywhere online?

And me as well!

It fits in nicely with every other Personality Profile I have completed.

Possibly and I imagine it has been done.

There was one such link to a study floating around here about a year ago.

In any event, I really don't think that for submissives, there would be any real consistency. The biggest variable may be the degree to which one views D/s as part of the piece that involves decision making outside of the relationship.

And what about the alpha male who enjoys submission? How might they "test out" on one of these things.

And yes, some alpha women are actually submissive within the context of their interpersonal relatiionships.

So, in that the personalities of those in the lifestyle are so dynamic, I just dont' see there being a legitimate personality profile to thread together the roles that we take on in the bedroom or intimate relationship.

Same here, Vinde!

I recently took the myers-briggs and came through with ISTJ. Will that do, WriterDom?
