Do the grammys even have the capability to honor someone any more?

I mean, how can you stand up on that stage and consider it an honor knowing these people are the geniuses who thought Firehouse was better than Nirvana, that Nelly's "Nellyville" was better than Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" and that Britney Spears was one of the five best new artists a couple years back. How can you possibly take this award seriously?

Grammys only have one use: But since they're so hard you really can't wipe your ass with them so that makes them completely worthless.

I was hoping for more Revealing Outfits.

If I were Ish, I'd be pissed at all the Hollywood Left Wing Peaceniks running the show.

At least Dick Clark would be more fun...watching the Undead is always better.

But I did like the London Calling thing.

What how can you not take people with tons of cash seriously, lavishing praise on themselves? I mean where would we be without the Grammy's, the American Music Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the Blockbuster Awards, the MTV Music Video Awards, the Oscar's, the Screen Actor's Guild Awards, the Emmy's, the Golden Globes...need I go on? My life would be empty were it not for watching these people win awards.

I'm hoping to win in the category of Best New Rap/Polka song about Aliens and Cheesecake. Wish me luck.

You forgot the Country Music Awards,

I can't believe they give awards for it...

I left out more than the Country Music Awards...there's also the Junos and Geminis in Canada, the World Music Awards, the Comedy Awards (if they're still around), the Soul Train Awards...the list goes on and on and on and on...I'm beginning to think if you don't win at least one award you must really suck...

ummm did they ever? The Beatles lost best new artist to Nino Tempo somebody...
And Metallica lost Best Hard Rock Performance to Jethro Tull, and Springsteen lost Album Of The Year to Lionel Ritchie.

Didn't Great White win a Grammy for "Once Bitten, Twice Shy"?

It's all so they can put "Awarding Winning Artist" on the CD cover, no matter what no talent schmuck is actually "performing".

Well everyone pretty much sounds the same now days anyway it doesn't matter. Or they sound like someone else. There a few bands and singers that have their own origional style. But even that gets stolen 6 months or so later by someone new with a different song.
