some history:
my mother and her sisters , all 5 of them, no boys - i was the first in a generation, are crazier than a shit house rat and her other female relatives are extremely vindictive towards men.
my ex of 16 years, and i quote" women are cold, calculating, and devious" and it is for "security", money and property.
another ex girlfriend did everything in a roundabout way. she never trusted me when she wasn't around even though i honestly told her, i won't cheat. she always expected something was going on and it manipulated her actions and thoughts. she doesn't trust me, well, there's the door, BYE.
another woman who i almost developed a relationship with later was living with her "boyfriend" but was fucking another boyfriend, and he didn't know.
the only woman who i've known who was forthright and honest was the young lady who was 23 years younger thn me at the time (legal age) after i left my ex wife said, we are only here to have fun. and have fun we did and later we went our seperate ways.
the woman who've i've loved completely and dearly for over 40 years, and we are in contact, is never open and honest with me. i may love her, but i can't trust her.
now tell me, why should i?

I'm sorry to hear all that. I suppose I am too much of a romantic. I hope there is someone out there for you to trust and love. I can see where that would be a hard thing to do after what you have been through. Thinking of you.
