Just had this discussion with some friends and the result was a mixed bag. Do non-Americans find American accents sexy in the way Americans might find non-American accents sexy? I'm an American and I don't think of myself as having an accent even within the scope of being an American because I'm from the PNW (Pacific Northwest) think Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Northern California, etc and we don't have a very perceptible accent like California, the East Coast, the South or even the Midwest are known for. What are your thoughts?

I grew up in the UK and found the American girls I met there impossibly sexy. Something about about their accents and the way they dressed screamed fuck me and often I did.

It’s like every other accent. There are variations throughout 🇺🇸 and some I find really sexy others not. I love a soft accent so any harsh American accent does nothing for me. But there are others I have spoken to, and do speak too, who turn me on as soon as they start to talk. Some have said it’s the same in reverse with a UK accent. There are lovely soft Scots and Irish accents, gravelly English ones and others that are unintelligible and a turn off for me.

I guess it depends what your “turn on” button is set too

it's subjective. horses for courses. there's a lady [whose name escapes me] from the seep south who does JOI porn that does the trick. she's got such a sewer-mouth and delivers the dialogue with such determined fervour... yep, that accent is a good one. :D

I think a lot of accent attractiveness comes down to personal preference and also the 'exoticness' of the accent. Personally I don't find standard American accents particularly attractive because that's what you hear all the time on the TV. But I think less-common accents, so Southern or Midwestern, maybe, are more interesting because you hear them less often.

Hey Grey! How're you?

I am Indian origin guy so most days I don’t sound like I have the accent. Sometimes the choice of words I use are like the ones Brits use…. But I do love accents. It’s a big turn on… knowing a woman from a different culture, living in a different country.

Totally agree!

I find any accent sexy as long as it belongs to a sexy person, because it's part of that person. If I find someone attractive as a whole, everything about them will naturally seem sexy ;)

Maybe this applies more when speaking a foreign language? Though English in the right British accent for me can be sexy so who knows.

Interesting take as I have lived in the Midwest for my entire life. I do find a Southern accent sexy from the right woman, but sometimes it can be annoying. Same with the New England area accent.

No - message, intent, delivery and intellect may hit the right spot, accent alone does not make for hot'n'steamy. To be honest it has become an accent too often associated with vile and ugly bitterness from low intelligent people who spread their toxic bigoted hate via social media and YouTube. The whining of dim-witted USA politicians is constantly on television. Evening television is also full of USA shooting murder street crime, either in the guise of "entertainment" or yet another USA mass murder shooting.

If I hear an American accent in person I am instantly on edge. Not for fear of shooting as the country I live in has sensible gun laws but I just don't want to be around toxic self grandiose opinions.

Just tellin' it how it is...

Not all Americans 🤣

I've lived in the US most of my life, but grew up in the UK. I always found the little American tourists and junior-year-abroad girls abroad super hot. A lot of it was the accent, but also clothes and openness to sex

I beg to differ with @NightL. I find a soft American accent extremely attractive. Yes it depends what is said but first reactions .....
