I don't mean is there a better time of year than Spring Break for romance/sex. I'm actually asking the question - "What is the best time of year for romance/sex" if you think there is one. Likewise... what's the best time of day, if you have a preference.

Statistically more babies are born in September than any other month. Dunno where that statistic's from or where it applies to, but it seems to be annecdotally true at least.

Isnt that because of parents trying to get their kids as the oldest in each class, but some mess up and make their kids the youngest?

I don't know about the rest of the human race, but mine is in the summer months.

I start feeling healthy and dreamy in the summer. I think this has something to do with the sunshine and the fact that I can have a beautiful tan. I get outdoors more, so I get more excercise, which leads me to feeling better about my body.

When I start feeling good about myself my sexual drive skyrockets.

I also walk around the house naked or in the least amount of clothes neccessary, so that could be a part of it too. Or at least it would account for some of the things that go on around here in the summer...

I think mid-afternoon to late evening would be my prefered time, although any time would do.

I don't think there is more activity at diff times of the year but then again. there are times when a couple will just get into it for a long preiod of time then it dies down for a bit (or for good),

For me, I seem to go into "heat" when spring begins. Everything around me is starting to come alive again...the grass is growing, flowers are blooming...the world is once again fragrant.

I see people in the parks and walking around the neighborhoods. Everyone starts wearing fewer clothes and seems generally more content with life. The air is warmer...the sun is out (hopefully)

Yup...that would be my mating season...if I ever mated...but alas I'm not...but at least my toys get a good workout!

Well - here's one technical explaination... yes, there is madness to my methods!

Biologically speaking a woman doesn't go through "heat" like other female animals. At least that's what I've read. But, a few days before ovulation her estradiol levels increase - which should up her sex drive - she releases pheromones, giving off a subtle musk that signifies she might be interested in a tete a tete.... again, this is what the "books" say. They've done studies that have shown that couples have intercourse more frequently at this time AND that women masterbate more at this time.

As for men. Studies have shown we're more randy in the morning and... get this, more virile in the spring when testosterone levels are at their highest.

"Take a male between 4am and 5am and a female a few days before her ovulation between March and May," says Professor Douglas Raybeck, a psychological anthropologist at the New York's Hamilton College, "and you have a pretty good recipe for a party."

And you thought I was kidding about Spring Break!

BTW - throw in a pool full of jello, two viking helmets, a ferret, and 72 pounds of marzipan, and you have a VERY good recipe for a party.

Last I read up on it, it followed what wiggles said. People, like most mammals, birth in the Spring, making for a Summer breeding season, or in the human study, late summer. Labor Day weekend?

Well I am a summer kind of girl ... any time the weather is hot and sticky is when I like to " mate".
