Do female cats enjoy sex?

The 'Selfish Gene' is twaddle. Dawkins is an ass who doesn't even understand the evolutionary mechanisms he worships. No one has ever pinpointed anything that might even remotely be described as a selfish gene or a gene for engaging in sex. Things are much more subtle than that. But obviously female cats are programmed to behave in a manner that results in kittens. Whether they actually enjoy the process cannot be determined at this time but I have my doubts.

I'm not enough of a biologist nor zoologist nor scientist of any kind to answer your objection, but I am reading The Selfish Gene right now and it seems to make sense.

BTW, Dawkins does not propose a single entity and name it the "selfish gene." But again, I'm not versed enough in either his theory or others to go farther than that.
