EXCLUSIVE: DNC Sent Millions To Law Firms Behind ‘Unprecedented Lawfare’ Campaign Against Trump

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has sent millions of dollars to law firms that are intimately involved in an “unprecedented lawfare” campaign against former President Donald Trump, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reviewed by the Daily Caller.

The DNC has paid close to $2 million since August of 2021 to Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP for “legal services,” according to the DNC’s FEC filings. Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLPfounding partner Roberta A. Kaplan represented E. Jean Carroll in her sexual assault and defamation suits against Trump. The New York Times previously reported that Reid Hoffman, the billionaire co-founder of LinkedIn, helped pay for Carroll’s lawsuits.

Nice smiling photo shown of Mrs Carroll. The caption reads, "E. A New York jury has awarded Carroll 83.3 million dollars in her civil trial against Trump. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)"

Missing is the reference to the $450m that followed that one.

It's striking that the article does not mention the millions of dollars Don Trump has received from his followers, which have been spent on trials and defense lawyers in civil and criminal cases. It's been noted that he hasn't spent a penny of his own funds so far in his defense, raising questions about the fairness of the legal system. Hard-earned citizens' dollars are abetting a convicted criminal. No one is raising eyebrows over that.

Yet the article alludes to this spending as nefarious. It's just campaign stuff like Trump's spending with the fake stories and bent words–well, lies, actually.

“There is now clear and explosive evidence that the Biden DNC is paying Democrat law firms to engage in this unprecedented lawfare and election interference against President Trump,” Mike Davis, a legal adviser to Trump and the founder and president of the Article III Project, told the Caller."

First off, let's note Trump is Ex-President Trump not President. And next up is the unprecedented, explosive evidence or lawfare that Democrats are spending money on campaigns. That's so... bad of them. Shouldn't they be giving those dollars to defend Trump?

How far is your head up your own ass that you continue to double down on this? Get loser actual sources instead of the basement bloggers with half-truths. Journalism is an art that I know your MAGA side can’t stand since it knows how to ask the tough questions to get to the truth. Your version “knows” whatever truth they already want…and poof, crap stories designed to taken advantage of the feeble minded (and surprise, surprise, surprise…it works over and over on you).

Go back to what you are good at, the deep fryer. Traitor Tater!

Hash browns are up!

Just curious, how much did the RNC spend on the bogus 2020 election lawsuits? How much have the Republican’ts in the house spent on the sham impeachment hearing? (It’s way more than two million…)

Have your guy stop breaking the law every chance he gets…and pushing this idea that he can do it.

Oh they (you included) are soooooo smart. Keep backing your criminal in chief. (And he may be right, he might not have lost any voters he just has encouraged millions, 81 in fact, to vote against him.)

You're a poor imitation of rightguide.

But thanks for cluttering up the board with a thread based on the Dailycaller vs PJ Media. It's nice of you to present differing views.

All down ballot GOP candidates get zero National help. trump figures he don't need them he can just Executive Order his will to be done.

It's funny. Such short memories. Bill Clinton. Special investigations, committees, court filings, lawsuits, impeachment.

Oh well. Not like it matters. The person who posted this supports a supreme court in which the majority of the justices perjured themselves multiple times under oath. They support a man who has said he wants to be a dictator. For one day or any day, they support a man who said as president that he wants to be dictator. Additionally they support a man who says that he believes that the constitution should be suspended if he doesn't win the election. They support someone who added $8T to the debt - the fast any president ever in that time period. They support a man who calls our military "suckers" and "losers".

They literally support all of the above things because they believe democrats are trying to destroy the country.

The person who posted this thread is a traitor to America.

When did holding one accountable to the rule of law become lawfare?

When the person being held accountable is a party's presidential nominee. Not saying Trump doesn't deserve to be held accountable for the shit he's been accused of, but there is a point to the lawfare argument to it.

Frankly he's incredibly selfish (Big shocker talking about Trump) for running while fighting these court cases, and even more selfish (again big shocker) for using GOP campaign cash to fund his defense.

Well considering his intention is using the presidency to shield himself from his crimes, the selfishness is a feature not a bug.

No, the bug is that the entirety of the Republican side of the aisle is that they don't mind his selfishness. In fact they see it as a feature to the point its a virtue of the man somehow.

Then again Biden is equally selfish for running too.

That is another bug, but we're talking Trump. Trump has multiple bugs - his attempts to use the presidency to shield himself from crimes is but one of them.

Eh, Biden is the one running. At least his been a good president. People want perfect but they don't bother to to vote. Biden gets crap for being old but no one is paying attention to the fact that Trump has dementia/alzheimer's.

Well now, the above is about as moronic an equivalent as an obviously demented mind can conjure up.

trump’s legal strategy is to deny, deny, deny then delay, delay, delay. Are you saying his legal strategy becomes lawfare when it hits a certain point in time?

Frankly he's incredibly selfish (Big shocker talking about Trump) for running while fighting these court cases, and even more selfish (again big shocker) for using GOP campaign cash to fund his defense.
Grifter’s gonna grift

Just wait it's all gonna backfire on the deep state. I want to see everyone of those mother fuckers executed on national TV. WWG1WGA
FYI: Trump IS the Deep State. He is the Deep State personified, and does anything and everything to further the cause of the Deep State. I'm fairly sure you realize this, however, as it should be pretty apparent by now. I, too, want to see the Deep State fail.

Reported.

Just so the uninitiated know: "WWG1WGA" is short for "I'm a QAnon-er white supremacist who wishes extreme harm to anyone who doesn't think my way & laser beams control the weather". It's very convenient code when used here = instant Report. 😄
