I was just musing upon language, especially with so many North Americans online.
I was wondering if a thesaurus might be useful to avoid possible confusion.
We all know that a fanny stateside is not a fanny to the Brits or Australasians and South Africans.
If I said I lived on a 'cul de sac', would it mean anything Stateside?
If I said I like to tossed off, would anybody think that I liked to be thrown around?
So has anyone got any regional slang that isn't generally understood or special names?
This thread is designed to bring harmony to the world. Or perhaps it's just another opportunity to write 'I like big jugs'.
All contributions to the thesaurus are welcome.
Does anyone know where 'Biffin's bridge is?'
