Chili just sounded good.

And it is my first use of a crock pot on a cold rainy day.

When I was a teen, my uncle has a stack of older music magazines called Cream. These were dated mid to late 70s and were kind of an interesting read. I spent my childhood listening to 70s rock and have always found it interesting how musicians and their albums were perceived at the time.

We idolize and glorify people in retrospect. I have examples, but this isn’t about that.

The magazine was maybe not for somebody my age.

One edition has a full article on Freddie Mercury and how large his dick was with pictures of him in his flamboyant, tight costumes highlighting the bulge.

Another has an article about David Bowie. I remember specifically a piece of the article where he said he never thought much of himself until he stood there looking at himself in the mirror naked. The article quotes him saying that’s when he realized how attractive he is.

I didn’t realize until that first woman reacted when she pulled my shirt off.

But I often think about Bowie’s comments as I look in the mirror and look for improvements.

We all need to treat ourselves better.

And, honestly, that article may have had an impact I won’t ever truly know.
