Disney is buying Lucasfilm (a cool $4 billion)

I presume by episode 9 it will just be outtakes of Ewoks playing with light sabers and flying starships.

I'd prefer to watch that, actually.

I am just hoping Lucas just lays out the storyline and leaves the writing of dialogue to, ya know, professionals.

These guys (as well as 90% of the GB) will not approve.....

From what I gathered from the articles Lucas doesn't intend to be involved much if at all. There are some damn fine novels out there, the biggest problem being all the actors being old as shit now. The Thrawn Trilogy is pretty damn amazing. Shadows of the Empire is pretty good too.

Thanks to Anakin everybody hates kids way to fucking much to put up with and of the stories with his Luke's kids even through there are some interesting stories there, it's been a while, don't know if there is a trilogy worth.

Who cares about Star Wars? What I wanna know is, does Disney now own Guybrush?

It's real.

The article above doesn't say when Star Wars 7 is coming out but the headline that linked to it said 2015.

I said years ago that VII would probably never come out, but with Disney at the helm, we'll probably see a new one each year. Based on their output, you'd think their animation department is run by Henry Ford.

Will Disney now own the rights to Indian Jones?

Indian Jones and the Seven Dwarfes...coming to a theater near you!

Maybe they'll finally re-release that lost gem known as the Star Wars Christmas Special.

Hey, I saw the first film at the theaters in the 70's. I thought Parts I, II, III would never be made. I thought he was going to stop after three. Sometimes I wish he did stop but honestly, I want to see how the third trilogy ends.

Yep and everything else under the Lucas Films brand. Which is Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Willow and some shit that doesn't matter. Actually I'm not sure Willow matters but in a world where Lord of the Rings is starting in on it's second decade of dominating the box office and Harry Potter rocked a decade Willow might not be a bad property to own.

Well, Episode I came out when I was 7, and my brother took me to see it. I loved it back then, and it got me interested in the original trilogy. I'm glad that he made it, and it'll always be nostalgic for me, but they're really pretty crappy. Even so, I'm going to watch VII with hope.

Oh look, they own Howard the Duck, AGAIN. :D
And the Land Before Time, but I thought they'd owned that for years.
