O O lia you better get thinking ~~grin~~

I am wondering if you think a person has to be able to take responsibility for their own actions to a certain degree Using self discipline to overcome day to day things. Not expecting anyone else to be your sole source of personal growth.

(I can answer the simplified question!)

Everyone ought to take responsibility for their own action - if they have done wrong (and know it) they ought to have the strength of character to admit the wrong and seek forgiveness from those wronged.

Self-disipline. This is slightly tougher.
The year 2001 was a reall hard one for me ... knock came after heavy knock, and there seemed no end to it. I ended up with bouts of clinical depression. It took me enorous amounts of self discipline (as well as lots of loving encouragement from Robuck) to actually get out of bed and function.

Moving on ... self discipline keeps me obeying the rules He has set me. It is so easy to follow rules when you know you are being observed. To follow them when nobody is looking takes self discipline. (Examples would include not showing Him some emails I have received in the past etc; or going into chat rooms and playing [mind you - that bores me silly], that sort of thing that I could easily destroy all trace of.)

I also use self discipline when I have a task to do that really bores me and there is something much more interesting to catch my attention.

In my mind, showing self discipline allows me to look Him (and the world) in the face with a clear concience.

I beleive that one needs to have a healthy amount of self dicapline, self control and self respect to get the full benifits/pleasures out of being a submissive. (perhaps Dom/mes too?)

Hmmmm, what else would you like me to add?
