I am sorry that someone you care about neglected your Birthday.

What it tells me is that online things can, however close they get, still remain separated from daily life. As if dates and events happen on a timeline that is still distant, removed.

And I'm fully aware that real life interfers. He's busy, I know that and understand. It doesn't stop the hurt from happening. It doesn't stop the disappointment that after 2 years he forgot my birthday. Or was too busy to send me a 2-second happy birthday mail. Whatever the reason, it sucked.

But I'll be kind.
