Heh, ya, the term "heavy petting" brings back memories of my college boyfriend's old Buick, parked in the Walmart lot late at night. Gotta love those old cars where the front seat stretched all the way across.

Definitely worth pondering. Which is closer to the truth, a model representing the original idea or a word definition describing it? Kind of appropriate for a photo thread on a forum dedicated to wordsmithing.

I'm a designer in three dimensions, so a visual analogy works well for me. On the other hand, I enjoy using the written word, it can be so powerful and evocative.

Mhm, sounds familiar. I've done my fair share of "creative book storage." I've been doing a good bit of moving around the past few years, though. It's amazing what you're willing to let go of when you need to get your personal possessions to fit into two suitcases and a book bag.
