What has worked best for you? I have about a month to drop a couple pounds for a online role playing game friends get together I am planning with Wanderer D, and I'd like to slim down a bit. My main problem is I LOVE junk food, and eat it constantly, plus I am not a motivated enough person to work out by myself. So all in all I need something easy, that works...cuz well I'm a lazy bitch. Any suggestioons/tips? AND before Angel comments, I can not go two days without eating in order to use Hollywood Diet, or else I would have done bought the stuff. :p


Also think of it this way...if I loose about ten or so pounds, that means more pictures I would feel better about posting :D

Actually, I bought an elliptical machine and it had a pretty good diet plan in it.

There are plans for a 2000 calorie per day diet, 1800 cal, and so on down to like 1200 or something which I wouldn't recommend.

Some things to remember:
You can get pretty good non-fat butter or margerine and cheese these days.
Wow chips are expensive but don't have fat and taste just as good as the originals, plus fewer calories.
Nothing beats exercise... anything to get your pulse up.
If you're trying to stay under 2000 calories (which is actually quite easy) stay away from BK - a Whopper meal will give you about half of that.

I agree!

While I have never had to worry about my weight, I do have friends that try all this crazy shit to lose weight. It doesn't look like you need to lose any weight, Mistress...but if you feel you do...just try cutting out all the junk food, or at least cutting down. Limit the amount of fat intake. Instead of exercising heavily...just go for a walk. Good luck! :)

WOW potato chips? I have enough abdominal cramps as it is without eating those :)
 
well you could stop eating but what good does that do you? Your body kicks in, and uses stored fats to live off of, and you don't lose weight anyway, and you are still hungry.

I'm not saying eat fat free foods, just get a good healthy diet that's safe, and everything will be fine.

Of course someone will come along any moment now, and tell me I'm talking out my ass...
 
If I cut out junk food...I wouldn't be eating at all.......seriously. Thats all I eat, pizza,chips,fries,candy....more chips.....
 
Not sure when you eat....but this may work for you.

Have your biggest meal of the day at lunch....then a small supper.

No snacking after supper (that is so fucking hard!!!). If you do have to....unfortunately stick to the carrots, celery and other healthy crap!! If you do need chips during the day .... try and eat them in the afternoon when you're most active.

The chips don't seem to bother me at all. As I recall, they said they could bother people who eat excessive amounts. Well, eating anything in excessive amounts can cause problems.
 
Drink lot's of water and exercise (try walking regularly).

Don't lose too much weight, though- from what I have seen of you in your fotos, you wear it very well. :)
 
That's why you find some healthier stuff that tastes good. I dig junk food, but... fruit does it for me, too. I absolutely love fruit. And it's generally not horrible for you. *Chuckles.*

I understand the difficulty doin exercise, though. I really want to get into a routine, but I'm not much of a "routine" guy.

Oh well. I'll just play with my tummy. :p
 
When I need to lose some fast, I do the low carb thing. Of course, that means no junk food, but it works really well. Always lose at least 5 punds the first week, and 20+ in a month. I feel great too, no loss of energy or anything.

Just switching from regular to diet soda makes a huge impact on weight most of the time.
 
And you DO realize that, in meeting online RPers, you're going to basically have a ton of sex-starved folks, right? *Laughs.*

At least in MY relatively extensive online RPing experience.

Actally, that's exactly what I think she should do.

Eating ground turkey instead of ground beef in your hamburgers or Hamburger Helper helps quite a bit. Instead of getting a pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni - just get cheese and maybe some vegetable toppings (I can handle mushrooms but that's about it for me unless I get meat on it). Then, eat 2 or 3 slices (depending on the pizza and the size) instead of half of it or more.

They've got some GREAT low-fat microwave popcorn varieties now that taste almost as good as the regular stuff.

Some baby carrots and non-fat dill dip make a GREAT snack.

Do NOT do the starvation thing because, as lobito said, your body goes into starvation mode and you won't lose weight... and whatever you do lose you'll gain back again with your first hamburger.
 
Most healthy food has no taste to me...it's bland, and sometimes the smell/taste makes me gag. I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm serious....


I don't normally eat at all until around 3-5pm in the afernoon.....I work in a gas station where I constantly cook foods...pizza, fries, onion rings, and chicken. I have a constant craving for chips as well, like 24/7...I have started chewing bubble gum to help keep me from eating so much while at work but that doesn't always help either.

I tried eating salads back when I went 'Veggie' but it did nothing for me, I could only handle it for a week but stopped. I'm not a rabbit, I can't handle rabbit food. I ate rice cakes, the quaker oats ones..chocolate but I went through a bag of them at a time because well...I didn't feel full. I walk to work every day and usually walk home, (I cut through my back yard and walk the rail road tracks) though it is not too far from my home. THAT is the only time I will walk, I live near a truck stop....I will not be walking around that parking lot by myself for sure.

I even went as fara s buying a kick boxing exercise video once last year but..by the time we got through the warm up, I was exhausted and didnt want to do it any more...I havent watched it since. I'm a lazy bitch, I admit that. I have to admit, considering the junk intake my body goes through daily, I should be alot bigger then I am....a whole lot.
 
I agree. A lot of healthier food sucks. But that doesn't mean it all tastes like shit. If you really want to, you can find varities that taste not bad at all.

Turkey's an excellent meat replacement, as was suggested. I'm starting to completely love turkey and chicken over meat as a "general food." There are fruits that don't suck.

I'm not a health expert of any sort, but I'm TRYING somewhat to start paying attention to what I'm putting in. And if you look hard enough, you can find things that are good, both flavor-wise and health-wise. Or at least BETTER health-wise.

Water wins.
 
Slim Fast works great.

Until you actually eat real food again,but as far as a jumpstart,it works.
 
Slim fast makes me sicker than hell. I don't know if it's the fact that it's so full of carbs, or if it's the other additives, but more than one shake and i puke for days.

Yup, a really good point. Eat a light breakfast, even just a small bowl of cereal with skim milk (the sugary cereals aren't even really all that bad vitamin wise) will get you started.

Skip lunch if you want, but eat dinner fairly early and try not to eat at all after 7 pm.

The walk to work is great... up your pace a litte so you actually feel like you've been moving though, don't just take a leisurely stroll.
 
I drink maybe a dr pepper everyonce in awhile but I mainly drink water/gatoraid...I drink sprites and 7up too but not often. MY stomach cant handle caffine...ulcer..go figure eh

I don't like fruit maybe once a year I will get a craving for pineapple, maybe a little watermellon but thats about it. I don't mind baby carrots as long as I have ALOT of ranch dip to dip them in....but I can only eat so many of them before they too make me gag.

I am a recovering 'sef-starver' my freshman year in high school I stopped eating, sdometimes I would go days in a row without eating. When I did eat it was junk...which made me go days again without eating to make up for the fact that I pigged out on junk. So when I finally completely brought myself out of it (I did that by moving away years later back to kentucky and getting my act straighted out from the problems I had back then) I began to start eating some things.

Veggie wise I eat: corn,peas,potatos

Fruit wise: Nothing.

Junk wise: EVERYTHING

Pasta: Mac and cheese, I LOVE cheese, lots of it.

Meats: Not much of anything, still coming out of my 'veggie' days
Maybe some peperoni on pizza
hamburger or two
hardly no chicken unless absolutely starving
The pork BBQ we sell at work on occasion
Been known when cant finding anything to eat at work that I haven't already scarffed down to make a cajun turkey and cheese sandwhich with a over kill of miricle whip on it.
(I might add that I also add chips to the sandwhich to kill the bland taste of turkey)

I will eat:
carrots if in a beef stew, with ranch dip
Some pasta rings such as in Spaghetto o's with meat balls.
Pineapple if I get teh craving
A pimento cheese sandwhich from work.
Bagels with cream cheese on them, yummy.



And thats almost all of what I do and will eat.....

I wake up normally inbetween 10-12 day..I can not eat until around 2:30-3 if not later because if I try to eat when I first get up..I will be sick. I never could eat breakfast, it would upset my stomach for the rest of the day.

Turkey...yucky, I really hate turkey, it's dull. The smell usually makes me gag too, I can not eat anything that offends my nose. If it does not look good/smell good then my mouth is not accepting it. (Hmm that applies for alot of things)
