I live on diet coke and have lime in my gin... so I'm sure the taste I would approve of

I looove diet coke... and i've always put lemon in it. there's a 12 pack of the new stuff downstairs that i haven't been brave enough to try, i'll let you know.

I'm about halfway through the bottle, and I think I've decided that Diet Coke With Lemon is all right. It won't supplant Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi as my day-to-day soft drink, but I'll pick it up at 7-11 every now and then for a change of pace.
But not in the bottle. For some reason, drinking soda out of plastic bottles is not as pleasurable as out of cans. Am I alone in this?

Yes. I really prefer soda out of bottles. Beer too. Can't stand the taste of the metal can.
I do miss the old glass soda bottles though... they were so cool, and it tasted different comin out of those things.
Don't mention the things they used to find in those returnable bottles... that's NOT what i was tasting!

No, two negatives don't make a positive in this case.
I used to think so to, until I was basically forced to switch to diet cola. Now regular non-diet soda is just too sweet. I haven't tried the DC w/lemon yet, but whenever I am at a resaurant, I always ask for a slice of lemon with my soft drink, so I imagine I will like this stuff, just need to get around to trying it.

when i go out , i normally get a diet coke , no ice , slice of lemon ...... it's been my standard drink for years now ... but i must say , i only like fresh lemon or fresh lemon juice

I have a whole case of the diet pepsi with lemon in the fridge now. I think the lemon makes it taste sweeter.

I've been drinking it for about a month now. It is good for a change, but sometimes I need the old standby, PepsiOne. Haven't tried the Pepsi Twist yet to compare the two.
As for those of you who don't like diet colas, try PepsiOne. It some new kind of sweetner and you actually get 1 calorie instead of none, and it doesn't taste as "bad" as the normal diet stuff. (seems to make me go pee more though. It's strange) I had to switch to diets because there's too much sugar and carbs in the regular stuff.

Diet coke and Pepsi strip the enamel from your teeth at an amazing rate. It works even faster than regular soda because of the artificial sweetener combined with all that lovely acid, who knows what a "dash" of citrus does to it. Maybe you'd be better off actually adding lemon Pledge to protect from the effect and giving a little varnish. Oh yeah, Pledge is probably poisonous, forgot about that.
