Or is the tide turning against law-and-order Republicans even in conservative communities?

Jacksonville was the largest city (11th largest in America) that had a Republican mayor. Since the Democrat won tonight, Fort Worth at number 12 becomes the largest city in America to suffer a Republican mayor.

Deegan becomes the first female mayor in Jacksonville history, having defeated a candidate who outspent her significantly. Her opponent had the backing of the Republican Party of Florida and the endorsement of Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“Everybody said it could not be done in Jacksonville,” said Deegan, who said the campaign and its volunteers had worked for a year and a half ahead of the election. Deegan drew 52 percent of the vote.

It was a good night for Democrats in Jacksonville overall.
  • Won the mayoral race
  • Won 4 of 7 contested city council seats
  • Won property appraiser (!!!) first time ever, Qanon nutbag split the primary and got beat in General election
  • Democrats did not field candidates for Sheriff or County Election Supervisor....I bet they wish they had now!

Still 14-5 Republican Council, so it will be difficult to enforce her policies.
She is just better known and she has ran over and over.

Of more interest is the evil bitch in KY that got dumped after screaming out her hate. RonnieDemon backed that one too.

But now the choice is between a civilized human being with a substantial record of supporting people and an AG that deliberately botched the Breonna Taylor case. I'm hoping that gets thrown up in his face many, many times and works against him.
