WTF either I am missing something or a lot more information would be a great help.

are you asking how to properly type dialogue in a story? is there any particular aspect of it that is causing confusion for you?

the way i was taught was that each new speaker is a new paragraph. what they're saying is in quotes. the punctuation before, during and after the writing of the spoken words depends on the accompanying text.

for example (note the different structures and punctuation)...

she pleaded, "take me! i'm yours!"

"we went to dinner after the movie," he said.

"then," joe continued, "when brian farted i nearly spewed my soda all over the table."

sarah was telling her friend beth, "then when frank said, 'i want to be inside you,' i nearly soaked through my panties."

i can't think of any other structures right now. if you're looking for something more specific, point it out. you might also try posting this in the AH forum.

Make sure you get the capitalization correct, too. There are a couple of great guides on writing good dialogue in the Writers Resources section on the main site. Read them, learn the rules and apply them to your writing. It'll save you a lot of frustration in the long run.
