I've been in NC for a bit. My son was hit with a double whammy - cancer and MS the same week. The cancer is small and was caught early. I just haven't been in the mood for lit.

I am so sorry to hear about your son but very glad to hear the cancer was caught early.
Now get your son on one of the MS "ABC" drugs asap! The sooner the progression is slowed the better off he will be. Believe me, I know.
Thanks Kayte. What are the "ABC" drugs?

Did you know...
... that today is the birthday of Margarine? Margarine was first patented by Hippolyte Mege Mouries in 1869 in France. The first margarine formula was originally comprised of finely minced beef suet which was heated with water. Chopped sheep's stomach was added as was potassium carbonate. The remaining fat was then bleached with acid, digested with bicarbonate of soda and sliced udders, then churned with milk, water and coloring agent. Um... YUK!

Definitely Icky! Reading this takes me back to my childhood. My family lived in SE WI. At that time it was not legal to sell colored oleo (margarine) in the stores. It was this funny off white color. Many people close to the state line (IL and WI) would make periodic runs to a store there and by the yellow margarine.
Of course it is now possible to get yellow oleo in WI. Still there is nothing better than butter.![]()

I agree. I remember when some oleo was white too. We didn't have it at home because we used butter and butter is better as long as it's not bitter. The bitter butter makes the batter bitter and no one likes bitter batter.
that's much better![]()
