You could always use age as an excuse!!
Jury notice? What notice?
There are two things that go first with age!
Memory and I cant remember what the second one is!:D
However, you'll have a problem with that!!:(
You would have to look old!!

I'm not old enough to use age to get out of jury duty. There's a 72 year old lady sitting behind me in the jury box. Even taking water pills won't get you off. One guy had diarrhea (he called it something else) and raised his hand to go potty. The judge gave us a 15 minute recess and he still wasn't back. When he returned one of the deputies escorted him out. I'm going to remember that for next time.

Today the defense attorney has his crack at the potential jurors before the final selection is made.

It's not looking good for me because I'm #8 in the jury box. Some of the 12 are going to be eliminated for various reasons; one lady taught one of the police officers who will be questioned. Another guy in the box went to high school with one of the defense attorneys, so I'm pretty sure the prosecutor will eliminate those two. About 60 of us were called from the big pool for the jury panel. A total of 1200 people were called to duty yesterday.

I was just kidding about using the age thing,
expecially since you dont look old!
Here"s hoping that whatever you want happen, happens!
If you have to serve,
at least we live in a country where this happens,
That,we dont live somewhere,
you dont have a chance to a fair trial!
I know you hate to hear this
but sometimes serving
is a part of our freedom.

I wasn't selected. This makes the second time I wasn't picked for a jury. I've been picked for about ten. I don't mind jury duty at all.

Some of us who weren't selected might go back tomorrow to witness the trial.

It's a case where the man is accused (and arrested) of battery at least twice. He has said he's not guilty, but from the public defender it sounds as though he's not going to testify. The woman dropped the charges, but the state picked them up.

Naked Cowboy Strumming, Shivering In Tampa

KATE CALDWELL - Published: January 21, 2009

TAMPA - You know the Super Bowl is on the way when the Naked Cowboy shows up in town.

Robert Burck has made a career out of the Naked Cowboy persona. For the record, he's not actually naked; he wears underwear, cowboy boots and hat and just positions his guitar to give the impression he's nude.

He shows up in lots of public places, has his own Web site, a "reality show'' on YouTube and sells CDs of his music. Somewhere along the way, he became an ordained minister.

Today, Burck was wandering around downtown Tampa, strumming his guitar and shivering, though he says it's balmy compared to New York, where he's' from.

"I come here every January and stand in the same spot,'' Burck said. "It beats New York at this time of the year.''

He's making a quick trip to Ireland, but says he'll be back in Tampa in time for the Super Bowl.

You ruined it for me by saying he's not really naked. Some friend you are!

Yes I was moaning this morning. I'll be moaning tomorrow and I hope I'm not selected for the jury. I nearly fell asleep in the jury box this afternoon.

Good evening {{{{{DGO}}}}}}

I remember years back when I served jury duty. Got called in to a couple of trials. Each time they went around questioning the jurors they decided they didn't want me. Guess they didn't want an engineer evaluating their presentations.

Would you? :D

Good morning {{{{{{DGO}}}}}}} Well it was possible I suppose. Especially if I took all they said literally.... I have been known to do that. Hope it all worked out for you and that you are done with the service as a juror. :)

Everything's great but the cold weather. I was rejected. :( I didn't get to convict the guy.

You are so right about the weather. It is such a tease too. I look out the window and the sun appears so bright and warm...

It was 11 when I got up this morning and now it's all the way up to 19! It's a beautiful sunny day, but looks are deceiving. I'm staying in where it's nice and warm.
