Well now you know!
I hope I never have to use that information!
I know. The biggest problem is that they come without warning.
Take a look at the map of the midwest here.

Wow!! Scary!!!
I know. Several years ago I worked in the earthquake lab at Wash U. It was quite interesting to see the research being done by structural engineers in order to build safer structures.
Is there really a safe structure if it's a big earthquake?
Not really. Some buildings are better able to withstand a quake, but if a major quake hit, everything could go. A quake of say 10 on the Richter scale would be devastating. So far no quake has measured a 10 though.
I got a low passing grade. 70% Means I might survive I guess

Now you see why the kids loved me.Good, then you two can share the grade. You both have 65% and in my book that's failing. Now you see why the kids loved me.

You got off easily. In the classroom I'd take the highest grade and divide that in half. I know you two didn't copy from each other, so I gave you a break.
Whew!
DGO, how many students like Johnny did you have? Did any of them make it?
I had a few and as far as I know all of them completed high school and a few went on to a BA. These kids were usually above-average in intelligence and were quick thinkers.
