I didn't go back to double check, but he said he was going to.done_got_old said:Did he correct it?
I'll have to check his blog out. I rarely read blogs.......more information than I want or need.BlueMorpho said:I didn't go back to double check, but he said he was going to.
Most of his entries are pretty explicit sexually... violent, too.done_got_old said:I'll have to check his blog out. I rarely read blogs.......more information than I want or need.

Intelligent writing, nonetheless.done_got_old said:Well I guess I won't visit but once......just to say that I've been there. I prefer implied sexual situations....the ones that leave a lot to the imagination.
I'm working on a story now. I hit a brick wall with all of my writing projects. Other than today, I've written one sentence in two weeks!BlueMorpho said:Intelligent writing, nonetheless.

You're ahead of me, I haven't evened opened a story in over two weeks. Why is it that I get a amazingly strong urge to write when I'm far from my computer?

I'm doing fine, thanks DGO, how about yourself?done_got_old said:Hiya doin' Cate?
I have a friend who has read all of my stories. Yesterday she emailed me and told me she'd finished another one. She has one more she hasn't read. That prompted me to get busy. She also motivated me to write one story. She liked the main characters so much, she wanted to read more about them. I think I have 12 novellas completed and I'm tweaking one that's really finished...... I think.
Get to writin' woman!
I keep thinking that I need to get back to my poetry, but can't convince myself.Cathleen said:I'm doing fine, thanks DGO, how about yourself?
Hi Blue, how are you?
My writing is stalled in my mind. I have one big project I want to work on and of course my mind seems to think only of another that is far from a first draft.
I suppose I ought to do as you said before -- just write without worrying about what's coming out.

I've written a lot of poetry, but the poem has to be there......I can't just sit down and write a poem. Not like a short story.BlueMorpho said:I keep thinking that I need to get back to my poetry, but can't convince myself.
I'm the opposite. I can't write stories without inspiration, but my best poetry comes when I'm regimented about it and sit down no matter what.done_got_old said:I've written a lot of poetry, but the poem has to be there......I can't just sit down and write a poem. Not like a short story.

That's really interesting, Blue. I think poets are amazing, they convey in 50 words a sentiment that takes me 1000! I had asked a friend to read a story I was working on and said it was about 3500 words. He asked "Have they even met yet?" I get wordy.BlueMorpho said:I'm the opposite. This makes me feel normal - almost!done_got_old said:That happens to me a lot. I was working on one story and heard 'Autumn Leaves' on the radio. In a week I had started and completed the story.
Even if you don't like what you wrote, it will get the mind working......just write!

You're right Blue and I love most creative activities.done_got_old said:Sometimes I do the opposite and the story moves too fast with too little detail. Now what I do is write and leave comments where I know details are needed. I don't mind wordy writers if the words have meaning. Sometimes you need those words to convey meaning and set up the foreshadowing of things to come. I find myself going back in novels to where something was mentioned that was interesting. Later on that tidbit becomes an important part of the story.
Take care Cate......and come back. You're always welcome.Cathleen said:You're right Blue and I love most creative activities.
I've started to do the 'insert comment' and find it very helpful to keep me from stalling. Sometimes those areas find better places in the story too.
I'm off for a bit, ladies, thanks for a nice chat.
