i might have to play again

We had a lot of fun. It was the 10 year old nephew's idea.

It's good fun. We played constantly as kids and in college we played bid whist and spades between classes.

I remember a lot of people played cards instead of going to class. They weren't around too long.

During the summers my great uncles would come and get my sister and I and we'd spend time in the Detroit area with my great-grandmother. Often there would be a dozen kids there. We learned to play cards and dominoes.

I haven't played in years. Perhaps I'll get a set and give it a shot. There are lots of older people living here, so there's a chance we could get a regular card night going in the club room.

We have a chance of freezing rain tomorrow and as the weather gets bad it would be nice to play cards........and no one would have to worry about cleaning their apartment. We also have a tv and stereo in the club room. There's a kitchen connected to it and there are restrooms! The perfect place!

Hell then I'm packing a bag and heading down to your place tonight since it's suppose to start raining here after midnight. I was looking forward to getting some Christmas shopping done this weekend but it looks like I'm gonna be trapped here instead.

I ended up getting gifts for everyone........including the adults. I have only my nephew left and I'm getting him a subscription to the daily newspaper. He buys one every day, so I know he'll appreciate this. He and his wife walked up the 9 flights of stairs when I was being held hostage. That's what made me decide to expand my list.
