I don't do lists. My parents didn't do lists...........take what you get!
Well obviously they think that this year...I got all the sucky people to buy for in the family. I have to buy Martha and Mr. Martha a present this year. Damn I hate name exchange. I was thinking about giving her all my 1/2 burned candles...I figure Mrs. Creative should be able to turn them into some fabulous centerpiece. :D

Get her a candle making kit.........or a book by Martha Stewart...or one of her videos.

My family will be surprised this year......I got my sister a business card holder for her desk at work.......it has a slinky on it. I'm going to print my slinky picture on a business card and put it where the business cards will go.

You're just right for lots of things - your humor and brains are top on the list.

Opps, shouldn't have said 'list' huh, Sase? You might have something to re-gift - maybe?

No actually I am going to give them a weekend away. Maybe if I'm feeling generous I'll throw in supper at the Outback Steak house. See I really don't hate her

Damn, I need to research things before opening my mouth! :p

Close your mouth......you're on LIT. There's no telling what might find its way in there!

Actually I'm screaming at my TV because the officials for the Celtics - Heat game are screwing with things. When they make a bad call they oh so cleverly do a make-up call -- they should just say it was a bad call and get on with things. I'm so far gone into my Celtic's obsession my TV might be in danger!

Considering you're gift of a weekend away I'll do what you say in hopes of getting on your 'L'. :cathappy:

Really all I ask is some ideas if you don't have any ideas on what you want or need for Christmas then you must not need anything...then it's up to me on what I think you should have.

Years ago one of my sister and I would struggle on what to get our mother for Christmas. (We got the shaft because the other sisters bought her cable, phone, and light bill for the year) She don't like anyone to buy her clothes, she hates the idea of having one more thing to dust so we go together and get her a full box of things that she will use through the year. Everything from vitamins, medicine, to health and beauty, to Stationary and stamps. We would throw in some laundry soap and some quarters for her washer and then a gift certificate to have either her hair done or a gift card for her coffee at the local coffee house....this is the first year that she has told us what we need to buy more of because she ran out or don't buy her that because she didn't use it. :D

Those are really good ideas...........

Especially from someone who rode the short bus.

I love that Sase, thoughtfulness is one thing a lot of people forget in the rush to just buy something. I had an uncle that never wanted anything (he was a priest) and would give away gifts he received. So each year I gave him all the personal products like you did for your mom. There's nothing wrong with practical when it comes to gifts.

I give to the kids in my family and now they're at the age that a check is their favorite. I do like to have something little - a gesture or hostess gifts for visiting etc. I have a box of those kind of things that I get throught the year.

I find I'm in the same position as my uncle and parents were - I don't really have anything I want or need. If someone is insistent on giving I usually say to give to a charity instead of me.

I've ruined the children in my family. They want gifts!

They know I like to shop and they also know I collect freebies wherever I go. One year one of the freebies in my nephew's box was a pair of scissors......of all the stuff he got, he called to thank me for the scissors because he had lost his.

 Was she one of the teachers that rode on my bus? :D
They made her the driver!

Just for the record she is surfin' the net for something to get back at me...I know her methods of madness.
