DGO's New Unthread!

One of the funniest things he did was the movie "What Do You Say To A Naked Lady?". It involved women (and some men) showing up nude in ordinary everyday situations, acting like nothing is unusual, and filming other people's reactions to them. There's clips of it online but I haven't found the movie at any of the reputable streaming services.

I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

Speaking of old TV... everyone remembers Twilight Zone. But who remembers The Outer Limits?

Good morning/afternoon. Watching football while I do a few things around the house. Going over to my dad's house later for dinner.

Good for you! I just emptied my trash. Funny that the pain subsides when I walk for a bit. Now to put clean sheets on the bed.

Ow. Sorry about the pain issue. I've been fighting a long-term knee problem, but it's getting better.

I was kind of looking forward to one or two down days during the holidays, but it doesn't look like there is going to be one this week. Maybe next weekend.

Down days?

I have nothing planned. I told my sister that I was paying medical bills and wouldn't be giving gifts. Hopefully she won't call and tell me she's coming to see me. This is the first time that I didn't decorate for Christmas. I guess I'm in a piss poor mood.

I am, however, cooking. Nothing fancy though. Just a duck, mac and cheese, green beans, rolls and maybe Brussels sprouts and pumpkin pie.

Yeah, down days... days when you have no activities or major chores you have to take care of. We've had most of our weekends for the past four months eaten up with family responsibilities. I'm ready for a day when I can veg on the couch, drink beer and not have to talk to anyone.

As for all that cooking: that's "nothing fancy"? I'd be curious to see what happens when you decide to cook fancy. :D

This is easy stuff.

My family stopped the 100 different foods for holidays back in the 70s. We started having 2 meats, salad, 3 vegetables, a starch and homemade rolls. Dessert was always a problem because my younger sister didn't like nuts. A few years ago she discovered she was allergic to them. My brother didn't like coconut and I don't like icing........so we had an apple pie, pound cake and German chocolate cake. I always did Christmas and my mother did Thanksgiving. I always cooked a ham because it was my grandmother's favorite meat. I haven't cooked one since '88 because she died in July, 89.

Well, we got all the prep work done this afternoon, along with the million little tasks and things.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. I will just pray for continued better health for you. If there is a winning lottery ticket there for you, know that a prayer was sent to JC to make it happen!
