OOC: Before I start to write this I have to tell everyone that if they wish to take part in this thread then please tell me your character in the OOC thread called somewhat new thread.... thanks.

IC:
John slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them then looked around wondering what it was that he was doing here. He had been travelling around Europe for longer than he could remember and had finally come to Frankfurt for a break. He slowly got to his feet and looked around the room, trying to remember what he did last night as everything seemed to be a blur.

He walked to the bathroom and had a shower before he got dressed. He grabbed his room key and wallet then walked out into the hallway, locking the door behind him. John walked to the elevator and pushed the button then stood there whistling a tune as he waited for it.

After five minutes the elevator hadn't come to his floor and he wondered just what the hell was going on when he looked up and saw that it was stuck on the ground floor. He turned and grumbled as he walked to the stairs and opened the door. After he looked down the stairs John began to slowly walk down, all the time wondered what he had done last night.

He walked quickly down the stairs to the ground floor and as soon as he got to it he began to open the door but when he pushed on it he found that it wouldn't open. He pushed a little harder then slammed his shoulder into it and gave a big push, opening the door just enough for him to squeeze through. He squeezed through the door then looked down at the floor to see what had been blocking it.

He took a step back and looked down with wide eyes when he saw the body laying there on the floor. When he saw that it looked as if the body had been chewed up he said, "What the bloody hell is going on here!"

John then heard a noise off to his right and looked in that direction. What he saw made him take a step back as it looked like a decomposing person walking straight towards him. The person made a sound like an animal and moved straight at him. John looked at it before he turned and slid through the gap in the door and pulled it closed just to hear the thing- whatever it was slam into the door.

John moved away from the door to hear the thing start pounding on it. He slowly walked up the stairs while he looked at the door and said, "What is going on here!"

*WHAM!!!*

"Thats the fith punching bag I busted.... Alaia? Do we have any more punching bags in stock?"

He got a little worried when he didn't hear a reply "Alaia? She wouldn't leav without saying so..."

Kyo looked around a bit "Alai? Alai are you in here?"

He then heard a scream comming from the room next to the dojo "The hell is going on?" he said as he ran over to the class room

Checking again on Belle and her puppies I made sure they were doing fine and pulled on my coat. Grabbing my keys I went to go get groceries. Earlier I'd went to go make lunch and realized I was mostly out of edible food. As I walked to my car I wondered about why I'd been unable to get a hold of my secretary to let her know she could come back to work tomorrow. Noticing my neighbor in his yard I headed over to tell him about the puppies. As I got closer I assumed he was drunk again from his unsteady movements.
"Hey there Bill...are you ok?" I asked.
As he turned in my direction I noticed the skin hanging from his limbs and face exposing muscle and tendons. Recovering from my shock I headed towards my car when I saw 3 other people standing by the car. From their appearance I could see they were also suffering from whatever had affected Bill. Running back inside the house I tried to figure out what to do. Taking the dogs into the basement I put them into the x-ray room with plenty of water and food to last for weeks and locked the steel door behind me. I headed towards the stairs when I heard glass breaking from upstairs.

Kyo

The screem became louder than before as Kyo tried to open the door "DAMN!!! I can't open it! And theres some body in there...."

Kyo took a few steps back and thrusted forward with his right foot ahead of him, busting down the door "Heh... still got it..."

The screem echoed through out the room again. Kyo couldn't see because of the dark, so he tried to communicate "Hello?! Can you hear me?!"

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!"

"Where are you?!"

It was silent for the first few seconds, then, "The top floor!!! Please help me!"

Kyo ran up the stairs, but stoped because the last set of steps were fallen off. "Damn! One flight left, and its knock down.... How did it get knocked down anyway?" Kyo instantly shook off the thought and searched around the flight to find a way to get up on top, since the elevator was down for repairs, and it was stuck on top, he had to get rid of that idea.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

"Hang on!"

Kyo then relized that the railing was still attached, so he could (with a little, no alot of luck.) walk on it and get to the top.

It took him a few trys, but he finnaly succeded to get up. He then looked around for where the person was "I'm on the top, but I can't find you!"

"Room 8! Hurry!"

'this is just NOT my day!'

I left my apartment and went down the stairs. Reaching the first floor I headed towards the door when I heard a noise behind me. Turning around I saw someone shambling towards me. As they got closer I realized they looked like they were decomposing. My mind raced to comprehend what was going on, someone thinking Halloween had come early, some kind of weird prank.
"What's going on, who are you?" I asked. As the person got closer my heart began pounding and I figured whatever it was I needed to get out of there. Turning I ran to the door and stepped outside. Running to the street I wondered where to go and what was going on.

Kyo

"number 17!" said the girl as I franticly looked for her. I finaly found 17 and tried to open the door "Shit... its stuck!"

I moved back a bit, (a bit more.... yeah, thats far enough!) And bolted forward shoulder blocking the door, busting it open.

I instantly saw a girl no older than my age hudled over holding her knees curved into a ball "What happened?"

"Behind you!"

I turned to see a few man walk close to me with blank stares. "Shit..." At first I thought they were rapest, but when I saw their faces decomposing, I relized something was wrong "What the fuck!?!"

The first one struck at me, but I was able to duck and kick him in the back of his neck. Then the second one groaned and tried the same thing, so I did the same "They're acting like zombies!!!"

John quickly ran back up the stairs, hoping that it would still be safe up there. As soon as he reached the floor that his apartment was on he slammed into the door, barging it open but as soon as he saw several of the decomposing things in the hallway he ran back to the door and opened it. As soon as he was back in the stair well he locked the door and leaned against it.

Where am I going to go now? he asked himself but before he could answer that question he heard something pounding on the door and knew that the things on the other side were trying to get to him. He stood up and began to run up the stairs- he had to get out of this building and he knew that the way out of here was down but he didn't know what was waiting for him down there.

"Oh god, I have to find a phone.... I have to tell someone what is going on here."

Kyo

"Damnit!!! theres more of them?!" Kyo couldn't belive what was going on, he had already taken down five of them, but the more he took down, the more came along. Kyo rolled under another, grab his head, and made a full turn ripping the head off of the beast, yet for some odd reason, no blood emited

"Who, or what are theese things?!"

"I don't know, but they stoped for the moment!"

now was there chance to escape, and Kyo knew it, he picked the girl up and put her on his shoulders, her head oppsite from his. "If they get close, tell me ok?!"

"Uh huh...."

Kyo ran to the spot where the stairs fell. "Uh... how are we going to get down here?"

"er.... ah...."

Kyo looked around the the place and found a board "Ah-haaa!" Kyo grabed the board, and being a expert skate boarder and becoming a really good snowboader, he was a really good grinder

"Just hang on and say nothing!"

"Um....."

Kyo jumped on the rail with his board and slid down, but crashed into the wall after he landed

"OW!"

"Er.... sorry!"

As I ran up the steps I looked toward the front door. Bill had made his way inside and fallen on my glass coffee table and more things were come in the window Bill must have smashed.

"Shit!" I yelled as Bill got up. He now had a peace of glass sticking out of his neck. I quickly turned and made my way to the back door. Pulling the door open I ran out into my backyard. Thinking that if I ran for the car some more of Bill's dead friends would be waiting I jumped some fences and made my way to the street behind my house. The street was empty. Not even a car was is sight. I ran down the street for about 10 min. when I came upon the sign that read "DOWNTOWN AVE." I turned onto the street but before I could think about what to do next I was in front of a car that was on fire. It was a cop car I think but it was so badly burned that I was not sure.

walking beside the car I said to myself "Shit, this is going to be a bad day."

That damn blinking bar was mocking me again and I hated it with a renewed passion. If it wasn’t an essential part of my computer, I’d have kill it. But then I’d never be able to write again.

I hated the cursor.

I stared at the screen, waiting for the next bolt of inspiration to wallop me upside the head, but it was soon apparent that I’d done something to offend my muse. After three days of almost constant writing—with small breaks for meals consisting of Cheez-Its and beer and an occasional game of computer generated solitaire—my creativity was tapped out. I stretched, leaning back and enjoying the sound of cartilage snapping in my spine. That feels so good. I stood and stretched some more. It was about that time that I realized my cheese cracker diet hasn’t been enough to sustain me. I was hungry. And of course the mini fridge in the corner was empty.

I grabbed the phone and dialed for room service. After two rings, I heard that obnoxious three tone melody followed by the voice everyone knows telling me the number I was trying to dial has been disconnected.

“Bull shit,” I muttered as I tried again. I got the same message. I slammed the phone down. “Oh, for crying out loud!”

Well, I had to get food somehow, so I figured I might as well go downstairs to the dinning room. But as I stepped out into the hall, I was struck with the feeling that something wasn’t right. I heard no sounds coming from the rooms I passed as I made my way to the staircase. I could just as easily have taken the elevator, but that might mean running into someone who wants to start a conversation and my German was far less than perfect. So I took the more solitary route. As soon as I passed the eighth floor landing I heard a groan from below. My gut told me to turn and go back upstairs, but I had never listened to my gut before, so why should I start now? Three floors down I saw the person making the noise. There was a woman on the landing, running into the wall over and over again.

“Um, are you okay?” It’s a stupid question, I know, but like I said, my German was very poor and I didn’t know how to ask if there’s anything I could help her with. She turned around and I took a few steps back. Her face was moldy and her clothes are soaked with blood. “You sure are pretty fucked up, huh?”

She lunged at me and I ducked, then ran down the rest of the stairs. I quickly reached the first floor and as soon as I opened the door and passed from the stairwell, I heard more groaning. A quick survey of the foyer showed even more moldy, bloody people milling about, running into things, eating each other.

I dashed toward the kitchen, thinking that I might be safe there. A few of them grabbed for me as I passed, but I made it through okay and found the kitchen empty. I locked the door behind me and offered up a prayer of thanks that there was only one door leading back into the hotel—the one I’d just locked. I sat down with my back against the wall. Whatever those things out there are, I didn’t think they were very friendly at all and I knew I didn’t want to be anywhere near them at the present moment. This was definitely one of those few times I wished I had listened to my parents, stayed in college, and become an English teacher…

Looking behind me I saw more of the creatures heading my way. Even though they were slow about it I didn't want to stick around any longer. Heading right I took off down the street. I was shocked at how many there were, they seemed to be all over the place. Doing my best to avoid them I managed to dodge the few that were unavoidable. Not sure where I was running to I hoped I'd maybe run into a police officer or someone who could explain what was going on and get me out of here. Seeing a hotel I ran up to it and stepped inside. Since I had no idea where I'd find someone who wasn't infected I figured it'd be best to check out any buildings I could. Looking around the lobby I tried to figure out where to go.

"Holy SHIT!"

Kyo looke to his side to see that the odd creatures were on that floor also, and these ones looked meaner than before "Oh just great... Why am I always the one who get in trouble?!"

Kyo picked up the girl and ran down the stairs, ducking one of the things that was in his path "Persistant bastards aren't they?"

Kyo finnaly got to the bottem of the stairs only to see that an on barage of the things were right in front of the door ".... Just our luck...."

Kyo set down the girl, "Listen, once you see a clearing, make a bolt for it, ok?" She only made a slight nod. "I'll take that as a yes!"

As soon as he reached the top of the stairs John saw the door and gave it a strong kick, smiling when he flew open. What he saw instantly took the smile away however as he found himself on the roof of the hotel and he knew only one thing, there would be no getting off this roof without jumping. He turned quickly when he heard a noise behind him and his eyes went wide when he saw the creatures moving up the stairs, there arms out stretched and he knew what they were after- him.

He ran away from the door in what he knew was an object of futility and almost began crying in joy when he saw the means of his salvation, a fire escape. I ran towards it but as soon as I did one of those things lunged at me. I moved back far enough and let loose a kick that my soccer coach would have been proud of which sent the things head flying off its shoulders and into the air.

The now headless creature fell of the ladder and down to the ground where it hit with a sickening crunch. I looked down at it for a second before I jumped down the fire escape, shouting out in pain as my knee collapsed underneath me.

As I walked along the street I noticed a lot of the activity ahead of me. A group of about 10 cars had crashed and a police officer was pulling people out of their wrecked vehicles. I ran up to the officer.

"Is anyone hurt? I can help, I have medical training."

As the officer turned I noticed half of his face had been ripped off leaving nothing more then a bloody skull. I jumped back losing my footing and falling on my ass. More of the things begain climbing out of their cars. There had to be at least 15 of them. Some of them looked almost perfectly normal besides the grayish skin but some were missing limbs or hideously disfigured. The cop reached out his arms and walked towards me. Out of the corner of my eye I could see blue flashs. It was then I saw that a police car was parked on the side of the road. Its lights were on and the driver's side door was open. I jumped to my feet just as the thing grabbed hold of me. I pulled myself away from him and ran for the car. I jumped in the driver's side and shut the door.

Kyo Shoulder locked an zombie that tried to take a free shot at him. "Now!"

As soon as he said that word, ythe girl bolted out the door that was ahead of them, and since it seemed that the things were pre ocupied by and passing by, Kyo took the chance to do the same thing.

As soon as Kyo Got out, he lock the door behind him, he was finnaly able to take a breath. "Hey! Where are you? You can come out!"

The girl poped her head from the side of the dorm "I know a safe house over there, you can hide without them breaking in" Kyo pointed over at the dojo. "Its going to smell a bit because I was just training there."

"What about you?"

"I'm going to look for others"

John slowly moved down the fire escape, wondering if there were any other living people around here. He hoped that there was as he didn't want to be the only person in this city full of zombies. John knew that if he was he wasn't going to survive a night. He moved further down the stairs but stopped when he saw an open window and hoped to god that there weren't any zombies in there.

John slowly crawled through the window and as soon as he was in the room he began to look around for anything that he could use for a weapon. He then saw the phone sitting on the table near the bed and sat down on it, picked up the phone and instantly became shocked when he didn't get a dial tone on the other end of the line.

John slammed the phone back down and wondered what he was going to do next.

Thinking the phone behind the front desk might still work I hurried back to check. As I listened to the dead air my disappointment increased. As I saw the list of all the rooms I realized there was no way I could search them all. As I tried to figure out what to do my eyes moved around the room, stopping on the fire alarm. Running over to it I used the little hammer to smash the glass and then pulled the handle. As the alarm started sounding I hurried out to the street. As I headed down I spotted a truck that had hit a light pole. Just as I started walking past it another creature stepped out in front of me. He grabbed my arm before I could get away. Not sure what to do I kicked him hard in the shin and was surprised when I heard a crunching noise. My kick had thrown him off balance and he stumbled backwards and started to fall. Pulling my arm away from him I fell backwards as well, smacking my head against the concrete. As the pain subsided I tried to re-focus my thoughts and get up. Looking up I saw that the creature was halfway up and I quickly moved backwards. Seeing something behind him I moved my head to the right and saw what appeared to be flashing lights coming down the road in this direction. Wondering if I bumped my head harder than I thought I rose to my feet and avoiding the walking dead I started running towards the lights.

Lance

"Keys!, tell me this thing has keys."

I began to search frantically but without any luck. The zombies had made there way to the car and started to pound and scratch at it. One hit the driver side so hard that the window cracked and the sun visor flipped down and there in all its glory was the key.

“Hell yeah!” I yelled and pulled it off the visor. I started the car but by that time the window had been shatterd and the zombies were reaching for me. The one that had cracked the window earlier had one of his hands on my throat and was chocking me. I couldn’t catch me breath. It was a hopeless battle and I began to fall unconscious. I don’t know how but my foot hit the gas pedal and the car sped off. I heared a ripping sound and noticed the arm of the zombie had come along for the ride. I caught my breath and threw the arm out the window. I watched as it hit the ground and slid to a stop. I turned my attention back to the road just in time to see a young woman running towards me.

“SHIT!” I pulled the wheel hard to the left barely missing the girl by one or two feet and skidded to a halt. “Holy shit, I think that girl is alive.”

Felicia

As I got closer to the lights I realized it was a police car speeding towards me. Hoping to find someone who could explain what was going on I started waving my arms yelling, "hey stop!"

As the car got closer I realized they weren't going to stop and I jumped to the side just as the car swerved to keep from hitting me. Jumping up I saw a guy in the car with a shocked look on his face. Looking hard I realized he wasn't dead.
Running over I knocked on his window and said, "What's going on, everyone is dead! Hey...let me in."
Hoping he wouldn't drive off and leave me to keep going on foot I waited to see if he'd at least roll the window down.

Kyo ran into the streets as the Zombies chased him like mad dogs (In fact, they were dogs!) "SHit!" He yelled as he ducked out of a police cars way. It instantly stopped in front of Kyo's dojo in front of a girl "That guy must still be alived!"

Lance

Quickly I hit the unlock button and waved for the girl to get in. Just then I looked at my rear mirror and noticed a man also running towards me. He was being chased by dogs.

"Damn it ! , He may not make it." I said to myself as I looked around the car for something to help. It was then that my eyes fell on the greatest site I've ever seen. Next to the passenger seat was a shotgun. Grabbing the gun I turned and leaned halfway out the already shattered window and took aim.

"Get Down!"

BANG!

Felicia

The guy leaned over to the passenger door and unlocked it, waving for me to get in. As I jumped in I saw a guy running towards the car, arms waving around frantically. It would have made for a comical sight if there hadn't been a bunch of dogs running not far behind him. Hearing the guy next to me mutter something I looked over as he grabbed a shotgun from the floor. Leaning out the window he yelled, "Get down." before he started shooting. The runner yelled something before dropping to the ground to miss the bullet. I saw one of the dogs go down. "I hate to break it to you but I don't think you can shoot all of them before they reach that guy."

I looked down at the phone and wondered just what the hell was going on here. Suddenly a noise ripped my thoughts from me as I heard a thumping coming from the door. I then heard a groaning sound and knew that those undead things were out in the hallway. I backed away from the door and turned to the window, hoping to get out there but as soon as I looked out the door I knew that I was trapped.

I saw the creatures slowly moving down the fire escape and hoped that they would fall off- the way that they were walking but I knew that they wouldn't and I was trapped. I looked around the room, desperate to find somewhere to escape but my time ran out as the door flew open.

Kyo took a sigh of relife, but it was short lived when he saw, not only the other dogs recooperating from the shock, but the dog that was shot as well.

"SHIT!"

Kyo got up and ran for his life, yelling something, "There's a dojo a couple of blocks from here! We can get supplys from their!"

One of the dogs jumped on his back, and began to bite and rip at his shirt.
