The type of PM that immediately upon reading it you feel compelled to respond....

For me generally it is a post that makes me smile or occasionally even laugh. It also helps if they have give me something specific to respond to rather than something open ended like "tell me something interesting about yourself" that one always throws me off cause hell I'm not jumping out of airplanes over here guys

It's easier to start a conversation if the questions are more specific...how did you discover lit? That sort of thing.

And at least for me wanting to jump to chat right away or jumping right into sexual talk usually gets you deleted. It's not personal it's just that I can't go there with complete strangers. Need to dance for a bit before I go there (and to be honest I don't always go there if the chemistry doesn't flow that way.

Also nothing turns me off quicker than a completely blank profile. Put something in there whether it is funny, quirky, serious....whatever floats your boat. At the very least put your sex and age but more is generally better in my opinion.

I'm a guy, so I really don't mind a PM that jumps right into it. That being said, I do like when a woman makes an effort to introduce herself and chat with me first. I need to make a connection before I can really get into it.......

Honestly I don't get many PM's unless I initiate them. I look for originality. I look for someone who mentions something that has to do with me. Whether it is a post or an AV. Something to that effect. I am sure women can answer this question a lot beter then most guys as we tend to initiate most PM's.

Honestly, nothing turns me on more than a guy sending me a PM that proves he actually read my profile and posts. It shows an interest in ME rather than just my genitals. I always hated getting PMs from guys who made it apparent that all they wanted from me was between my legs, not my ears. MAJOR TURNOFF.

Just throw in a greeting, a compliment or two, and show you share common interests. And make sure you use proper grammar and spelling. Showing off poor use of the English language grates on my nerves!!
