What is the one thing that makes you different from everyone else, be it physical, mental or activity. The one thing about you that no one else has or does.

Hello, F...how are you doing? :)

I really have no idea on how to answer this thread...just wanted to stop in and say Hi.
JL:kiss:

The whole unique DNA coupled with unique life experiences. I'm sure there's plenty of folk with brown hair and eyes who hate football, but there's still only one me put together from everything that I am and everything that I've seen, heard, touched, tasted, smelled, dreamed, pondered, etc.

I may not have an original thought, but they're MY unoriginal thoughts, dammit.

Nora.....Good reply but

Nora: While your reply is true, correct and no one else has the same DNA as you, I was looking for more visible or observable by others. But it sure was a good answer, and very insightful!

Sorry, I didn't know we were being graded. :( I'll do better next time!

*sits back to watch PV spazz*

LOL Sorry if I sounded that way

Nora: Sorry thats not how I mean't it, if I offended you please accept my apologize. I really appreciate your input, and your answer was very good.

nonono! You didn't offend me! I'm just grade oriented.

And I've been told *repeatedly* lately, a bit too serious.

Ok, I'll give you a more flippant answer...

How about...uh.

um.

Can I copy off of Kitte's paper??

No Prob

LOL.....That will work Nora....I'm glad I didn't offend you, I sometimes also have a problem like that "being too serious". Thats why I come here at least once a day, to cheer me up. I get the biggest kick out of some of the things people will say on-line, Plus the sexual overtone here is fun too.

OMG THEY GOT DIRTY STUFF HERE????????

How come I'm always the last to know??

;)

But for how long?

Islandman: True at least until cloning is perfected anyway.

Nora: Loved it, was that a "DA" statement? ROTFLMAO

This is a silly question. It is like asking what makes an apple an apple or an orange an orange. We are all different because we are.

Well

I conform to all of society's norms, mores and values. This is satisfying and, personally, I find it liberating.

How about this

Instead of what makes you an individual, how about what makes you unique? Is it your manner of dress, your ability to write poems, your interaction with others, the one thing that makes you who you are?

It's what's inside my heart that makes me unique. It shows in the way I interact with others.

Core values......

Attitude hasn't changed since high school, I love a good party, sexual romp, something different than the boring routines of life. I love differently than most others. If I love a female in a relationship, I don't look at her as a possession, I want her to go as far as she wants without having to satisfy my selfish interests. If the love endures, great! If the love goes away, it was meant to be. I have lost a marriage due to the female thinking I didn't care because I didn't give her limitations (control) for the relationship. I believe anything is possible, suspending disbelief until all facts are considered. I enjoy lifting weights, getting a buzz from lifting more pounds than the average human. I like knowing that in a pinch, I can tear a car door from it's hinges, or fracture major bone structures. I believe a man should look like a man.
Best for last, my Harley, tinkering, riding, cussing, and cleaning it. More of a relationship than ownership, I know that how I treat it, I will be treated back. Very few people ride older motorcycles with a rigid frame (no rear shocks), and are too spoiled to put up with the maintenance. When I ride, I feel like it must have been in the past, like riding with those who are no longer here. It's a rush, and an addiction!

*Oh yeah! I am known not to accept compromises in any form that degrades my freedom, or my belief system that I live by. :D

I would have to say my individuality makes me an individual.

Look what I can do! *spaz*

Reminds me of a preschooler I used to know who would demand of everyone, "Lookit!" and then totally spaz out. I think he thought he was dancing.

I am an individual because I am an autonomous being with a distinct sense of identity.

What makes me an individual? One of my favorite things to think about. Ayn Rand in her book Atlas Shrugged described a group of passionate individuals who must repeat an oath to join there group. It stated:

“I swear by my life and my love of it, that I will never live my life for another man, nor ask another man to live his life for me.”

Individualism is the heavy burden to take on judgment. It is the unique human ability to look at two sides of an issue and apply our own ethics to the situation to determine what we believe is right for us. Individualism means respecting ones own mind, and having the strength to stand up for the things you believe in, regardless of pressures put on you. Individualism is ego. It is selfishness in the true sense of the word, not the corrupted one. Selfishness is believing that the things you produce, the things you earn, are yours and no one has a right to them. Because these things are ultimately the product of your mind.

Why am I an individual?
Because I refuse to accept anything other them my own judgment.
Because I refuse to devalue my work, or myself.
Because I believe that a strong self is the only way to true fulfillment.
Because I accept that my life and my happiness is my responsibility, and no one elses.

I'm me. I'm silly, but focused. I'm open-minded, but have strong values. I'm nice and accommodating, but strong. I'm passionate, but balanced. I'm a tiny pale chick in a Southern California ocean of tan tall people. I have big feet.
