i have to wonder, though, if the bean-counters decided they'd lose more women's votes by not sweetening the campaign's anti-abortion stance than by paying her to say this stuff and calm some republicans

when push comes to shove, if it loses more votes then trump can always deny it's HIS policy by fobbing it off on melania being 'just a woman speaking her mind', plus he can always totally ignore it when it comes to making decisions and pushes for harsher anti-abortion stances if required.

If you all think that this is some sort of back stab to orange hubby, you might be wrong.

I think this is a cheap ploy to claw back the Trump voters that were turned off by his actions to overturn R v. W and the P’25 talk about a national abortion ban (let’s not forget J.O. Vonce’s desire to ban it as well).

By having the Slovakian Hookar speak sincerely about women’s rights, that will soften the women that were walking out the door and contemplating voting for Harris.
