I am in favor of making the U.S. government more democratic. This would require ending the Electoral College. It would also require weakening the Supreme Court. I would require a two thirds majority for any Supreme Court decision. Any Supreme Court Decision could be overturned by a two thirds vote in each house of Congress and a presidential signature. It would be possible for referendums to oust unpopular Supreme Court justices. Many states already have this. I would make election day a national holiday to make it easier to vote. I would repeal the Second and the Tenth Amendments, and reword the First Amendment, so that it protects the free exchange of facts and ideas, while not protecting campaign contributions.Democracy is a pernicious evil.
