I'd say Ghana much more than Germany, especially once Klose leveled it at 2. Germany had no sense of urgency where Ghana was looking to run. Appeared as though Germany was content with a 2-2 tie. Once again, Ghana outplays their opponent and gets no result.
I do like Ghana's style of play and they actually supported their keeper. Too bad they didn't win but at least they won't be eliminated.

Les Bleus! But in truth, they're one of 4-5 faves of mine (one of which, the Three Lions, has already been eliminated).

Yes that was a shame. I'm happy with France's performance but I want to see them do it against a better team to see if they can really contend.

Missed the late game last night (11pm start here in UK which isn't good if you have work on Monday morning), but sounds like another rollercoaster ride. Would liked to have seen USA eliminate Portugal but they're still in a strong position for the final games.

US match - 20 secs too long!
Less concerned with France today - but yes, they've done well in their group: let's see what Holland does without RVP today.

What a look of disappointment on Ronaldo's face as he left the field, you think he'd be happy for the Team Portuguesa and not just his personal goal score - but -
The USA Team played a formidable game, of course they would have scored more goals and made it even better.

I  Fútbol!

If US does well on Thurs, then CONCACAF will be nicely represented alongside Mexico & Costa Rica. A record (3)!

I am stunned that so many giants have fallen - and today Italy to join England & Spain in early return flights home.

So, my brackets have taken an embarrassing beating, anybody else?

Just for a moment, when Mexico were 3-0 up, you had a sense they might just pip Brazil for top spot - not to be though.

Sets up some great games in next round!

Yea Brazil certainly opened up a whole can on Camaroon didn't they?

My Italy! I'm like

Germany won't be a pushover.

Upsides -

According to Afterposten, a man in Norway bet $5 on 175-to-1 odds that Suarez would bite someone. Paid out - $916.

let's hope the saying doesn't hold true

"football is a game where 22 men are hunting a ball and in the end Germany wins"

never heard that saying.

Suarez is history.

Yeah, you can download his career highlights but beware, it's 3 MegaBytes :D

Great game earlier and feel sorry for Chile. On the other hand, it seems Uruguay are not only ignoring common decency and the obvious truth about their 'idol' but in the current game are displaying a petulant streak that makes me hope they get stuffed and can slink off home to see their mate asap
